I was just noticing that this event draws an almost US Open amount of airtime on Thursday and Friday. I don't get the sense that this tourney is that kind of a draw. Am I missing something? Why the blowout coverage for a WGC event?

Those WGC events have huge payouts, which means strong fields.

Also, are they invitation only? If so, the field will be smaller, meaning fewer guys you've never heard of hitting it in the woods on the first two days. It's much better TV if every group has a top 30 world player.

I hope you are kidding. The two best playes in the world, Tiger and Phil, hit it out of the fairway more than anyone

And just so you know it, whoever is the 250th ranked player in the world is a hundred times better than whoever your club champion is.

Since you've heard of those guys, it disqualifies them from my statement. Also, for the record, there are 28 guys who find the fairway less often than Tiger and 17 guys less than Phil who currently have stats on the PGA tour.

I am dating our club champion (she has won the event all three times she has entered it.) She may be only 1% of the player that Shiv Kapur is, but I still like her alot.

Look out . . . Tiger is -3 thru #4 and just took the lead.

I think Tiger is taking this final round personally. Kinda like challenging Mike Tyson in a bar fight, not smart.

Thru 10 holes Woods is -3 and Sabbatini is +4. Rory is doing a good job of proving why he's Rory and Tiger is Tiger.

Rory will comment afterwards though how he is seen a kink in Tiger's game. What a joke. He comments that he just says what he thinks and that is that. Well sometimes he should just NOT.

I love it when Rory Sabbatini, Tony Stewart and others with no personality say that as if it excuses them saying dumb things and looking like a jerk.

That's why others keep some of their thoughts to themselves. Sometimes its just whining and he should keep it to himself. Rory was just about to throw his club. Wonder what he was "thinking" then.

The third time that Tiger has won an event in which he was the ONLY player under par. That's impressive. Hopefully, Sabbatini learned the important "keep your mouth shut when you feel like talking smack about the most dominant athlete that your sport has ever seen" lesson.
