What a college football 64-team playoff bracket would look like in 2022

(3) Cincinnati 28, (6) Tennessee 23: The Vols' offense fails them in their quest to get to the Sweet 16, but it's the Bearcats' defense that deserves the most credit. They force Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker into an uncharacteristic three-turnover day.

Exactly. They’re fun and stupid at the same time. I think part of the reason that I am such an advocate for a CFP expansion is the opportunity to get rare matchups on college campuses.

This article or hypothetical will be hilarious to see the Twitter arguments it will cause . Which is pretty much what I was doing w/ that gif. People will lose their mind over nothing.

I wonder what kind of simulation they used? Tennessee would throttle Cincy.

I would hope so. I don’t think we would’ve throttled them last season. I think we would’ve beaten them around mid-late October last season. We were rolling at that point.

This is the most believable part of the simulation.

(12) Fresno State 24, (5) Baylor 20: We're all looking for last season's version of Cincinnati from the Group of 5. Why not Fresno State? The Bulldogs look the part in their NCAA tournament opener with a resounding upset of the Bears.

In all honesty, it appears this sim has the Gators as a 4 seed next season…How does a 1 win Gator team get such a high seed?
