I love college baseball tournament and can't wait until Vols get back and hopefully far more regularly than we have in last 15 years.
It's gotten so irregular that I actually plan my Outer Banks vacations the first full week of June every year knowing that Tennessee's odds of hosting region or super region play is nil!
There are 8 Super Region sites and ONLY 4 of them are set and 1 has 1 team decided.
So there are three sites that have no team picked with one more day of region play to go. Now 2 regions were extended an extra day solely due to weather (FlaState/Bama and SoCarolina/Stetson) but that is astounding.
#1 Virginia is set to host UC Irvine next weekend
#2 Florida is hosting SEC brethren Miss State
#3 North Carolina is hosting Stanford (and their circa 1982 uniforms)
#6 Vanderbilt is hosting Oregon State
Arizona State is in and will either travel to Texas or will host Kent State
So we have 9 teams set and 7 more to go.
Florida State concludes their Alabama "game" at 12:00 leading 8-1 in top 6th.
South Carolina concludes their game with Stetson at 1:00. SC lead 4-1. Top 5th. SC has bases Loaded w/ 2 outs
Kent State plays Texas at 2:00
California plays Baylor at 7:00
Clemson plays Connecticut at 7:00
South Carolina plays Stetson at 7:00 (if necessary)
Texas A&M plays Arizona at 7:35
Dallas Baptist plays Oral Roberts at 8:00
