now that Dobbs has played instead of Ferguson and Peterman looked terrible against the gators and got injured?

Peterman would be behind Dobbs if Dobbs gets to play against missouri and does well..

I dont see bUTch playing 3 qbs regularly and they all want to start.

Who cares if Peterman transfers. As for Ferguson he is suposedly a fierce competitor. He may view as an extra challenge to try and win the job next year. Or he could pack his bags. Hope he sticks it out

Until we have seen both Ferguson and Dobbs play in big games then I am going to reserve judgement on who is better.

Peterman may be a lost cause at this point. The way that he played in the first half of the Oregon game might have ruined him as a quarterback on the collegiate level.

I do believe Ferguson is better at practice but Dobbs is better when the lights come on. I believer Ferguson stays because there is an extra year where he would be able to start. Peterman can transfer though cause I doubt he see's the field anytime soon.

Peterman will. Fergie, who knows yet. He won't after this year though. Many believe he's better than Dobbs do he will get a chance to be out starter next year

We have seen Peterman have the worst half of football for a college qb in years.
We have seen Dobbs go in today and perform well.
We know that it was bUTch's decision to put Dobbs in the game instead of Ferguson.

Peterman should already be looking if he wants to play.
RF should hang around through next year and go from there. He ll Prolly get to keep his RS this year saving him a year.

We wont see Ferguson play if Dobbs is taking the snaps. Ferguson wont wait on the bench for 3 more years to.compete as a red shirt senior.

i actually sort of wonder if ferguson is the better qb so they burned dobbs redshirt instead

Well that could work against Ferguson cause if Dobbs go out and take the job by the horns then he's stuck on the bench for 3 years. Even at all scrimmages Dobbs has performed better. I honestly believe this offense doesn't work to Ferguson's strengths

Pretty sure CBJ said in his presser Ferguson had a minor injury and thats why dobbs went in, so no Riley will still compete next year.

Peterman, yes he will be gone. He sucks!

Worley will be a great signal caller lol.

I hate it but will be surprised if Peterman does not. I will be surprised if any of the other three do.

If Dobbs continues to perform on the field, Ferguson would be wasting his eligibility if he stays as a backup.

If Ferg redshirts he will then have at least one year to have an opportunity to have the job as a senior. With that said, if he is going to give us the best chance to win next year or the year after that, then he will beat out Dobbs and take over the job. Any school worth a crap that he goes to he will have to compete to win the job and not just have it handed to him. At this point, he could transfer and put himself in the same situation he is in now where he has to try and win the job.

Riley didn't practice at all on Thursday due to a leg problem. I think he just caught a bad break at precisely the worst time which might end his season and give Dobbs a head start. Ferguson will now likely redshirt, not due to the severity of the injury, but because it would probably not be wise to burn both redshirts. Ferguson had been Worley's backup until the "leg injury". Although Butch didn't mention it in the postgame interview, Riley was wearing the wrap on the sideline and was not 100%. Ferguson had offers from Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Clemson. If Dobbs takes the job and runs with it, the threat of Ferguson transferring is very real. Unlike Bray, who was not academically gifted, Dobbs is unlikely to leave after three years. Ferguson cannot count on having two years after Dobbs is gone. I never thought we'd be able to keep both guys.

I dont think Ferguson signed at UT to possibly play for one year and be a bench warmer behind someone from the same signing class.

Peterman, if he has been paying attention will go ahead and transfer.

Fergy will NOT transfer. I saw him on the sidelines earlier today and he had a cut on his finger. Orange blood came out, rather than red blood. I doudt that he will transfer.

If Peterman transfers, then Dobbs could be #1 q.b. and Fergy could beat out Worley in the off season. As the #2 q.b., one injury to Dobbs, and then Fergy is the starter.

Should Dobbs be the #1 q.b. next season and WorleyBird the # 2 q.b., then Fergy will be a red shirt freshman as the #3 q.b. After WorleyBird graduates, Fergy will be # 2. So, it makes no sense for Fergy to transfer.
