What are the chances that Peterman and Ferguson transfer

Why do people keep making up these crazy conspiracy theories? The coach said Dobbs was put in because he was number two. Riley could have played and Worley could have played but he went with JD.

Peterman may transfer , but I don't think Ferguson goes anywhere . As it stands right now , Riley has an extra year of eligibility . If Dobbs were to leave after his JR year he would have 2 years to prove himself . Riley will compete for the job too so who knows . Plus you never know when an injury is gonna take a guy out

Peterman should transfer he is probably fourth on the list right now. Ferguson will redshirt and participate in spring practice he has a great chance of playing next season.

i actually sort of wonder if ferguson is the better qb so they burned dobbs redshirt instead

If Ferguson was healthy it sounds like he would have played instead of Dobbs. If Ferguson aas showing more than Dobbs then next season should be quite a QB competition between those 2.

What do you expect the coaches to say after they just burned a RS - " Nah, he's actually our worst."

Ferguson was #3 and moved up to #2 when Peterman was hurt. Ferguson was hurt in practice and if you saw him on the sideline you had to see the knee brace he had on. If you will recall it was Ferguson that went to the UF game and Dobbs stayed home.

Dobbs made the most of his opportunity and now has a chance to improve even more. The coaches will figure it out as we go and the competition will probably be wide open again in the spring. There is no doubt the players responded well to Dobbs along with many of the commits.

I actually thought this as well, but Butch repeatedly called it a "coach's decision", whatever that means.

There has yet to be a depth chart where they were listed as Anything other than 2A and 2 B. Why is this so hard for some people to comprehend? Ferguson was not listed anywhere as being significantly ahead of Dobbs.

That makes absolutely no sense. You don't burn a redshirt to save the more talented player.

Well that could work against Ferguson cause if Dobbs go out and take the job by the horns then he's stuck on the bench for 3 years. Even at all scrimmages Dobbs has performed better. I honestly believe this offense doesn't work to Ferguson's strengths

Ferguson was #2 heading into the SC game. However he got a little injured last week so Dobbs got the nod. Could just be bad timing/luck but for whatever reason Dobbs has the job now. If he wins out then I don't see anyone taking that job for 3 more years. Peterman is gone or a permanent clipboard guy now. Worley did UT well but he is limited in his ability. I'm surprised because of how good he was in HS.

Mr. Dobbs show Volnation what you've got and win these last 4!

Go Vols!

Great athletes have strong egos, and therefore I don't think that Ferguson will transfer, unless he's not the starter at the end of next year.

Now, if he watched Dobbs play and believed that he couldn't knock Dobbs off, maybe he'd leave. But I don't think that's the case.

If Dobbs starts every game for the rest of the year (and a bowl game if we go), he'll have plenty of opportunities to make mistakes and leave the position open for next year, and VN will have plenty of opportunities to wail about how awful Dobbs is and how we have no chance unless Ferguson goes in.

Geeze people, get some perspective.

We have seen Peterman have the worst half of football for a college qb in years.
We have seen Dobbs go in today and perform well.
We know that it was bUTch's decision to put Dobbs in the game instead of Ferguson.

Ferguson has a hurt ankle is why Dobbs played. They said in the pre game show that ferguson injured it in practice and Dobbs was gonna be the back up.

now that Dobbs has played instead of Ferguson and Peterman looked terrible against the gators and got injured?

Peterman would be behind Dobbs if Dobbs gets to play against missouri and does well..

I dont see bUTch playing 3 qbs regularly and they all want to start.

If Peterman has been paying attention, he should realize that he needs to transfer, so that he has a chance to play in the future.

As far as Fergy, that won't happen. He won't transfer.

(#1) He bleeds orange.

(#2) Should he end up being a red-shirt this season, then he would have 4 more seasons to play. Let's imagine he is 3rd on the depth chart next season, his red shirt freshman season, then he will wait a season and WorleyBird will be gone. Then he is #2 and one injury away from replacing Dobbs or should Dobbs not get injured, then Fergy will be like Jerry Colquitt and be the starter his red shirt senior season.

(#3) Should he end up being the #2, next season behind Dobbs and Worley is the 3rd string, then he is one injury away from playing.

(#4) Let's imagine that next season, Fergy is the starter. Well, there would not be any reason for him to transfer.

In conclusion, if he is the 3rd string, next season, there is a positive behind that. If he is the 2nd string next season, there is a positive behind that. If he is the starter next season, there is a positive behind that.

So the guy plays one half and he is leaving early for the nfl? Smh

Ferguson would've been the first man in if not for the injury.

Peterman wouldn't surprise me if he left but our Oline got owned in the first half versus UF. I think he's better than we think but IDK that he would ever be the starter after that game.

That's speculation. Jones said "coaches decision" which could mean a number of different things, including that Dobbs may have seperated himself from Fergy. We don't know for sure.

The Dobbs fans, Worley fans, and Fergy fans are all just spinning this the way they want- as if it's going to make a difference when Jones makes the decision.

at end of 2014 season, 3 of the current 4 QBs on roster will NOT be on 2015 roster. Some my leave before 2014 season but for sure 3 of the 4 will be gone before 2015

Literally just last week when Worley injured his thumb and MIGHT go out of the game, Ferguson was the one warming up.

According to Freak, he saw them both warming up in that game.

ESPN only showed and reported one of the two, but as Freak was at the game, I'd trust his visual.

I do believe Ferguson is better at practice but Dobbs is better when the lights come on. I believer Ferguson stays because there is an extra year where he would be able to start. Peterman can transfer though cause I doubt he see's the field anytime soon.

I wouldn't post anymore. I don't know what else to say.
