What gives with those folks down in the bayou? I mean, how many other colleges won a championship 2 years ago? And now, they want to get the coach out? Not going him to rebuild... He not only won the natty, but was undefeated. That does not happen every year.

Fans are quite demanding on these things. A bit unrealistic too.

Coach O, (who I happen to like) is under investigation for some female misconduct accusations. There is the trouble.
Yeah I think coach O had a lot of off field issues…if he was squeaky clean he gets more time
edit: he was also very controversial when hired, very polarizing…I think he was kind of a bandaid/short term solution who caught lightning in a bottle with Borrow/Brady.

I think with him alot of people know that the championship was lightning in a bottle. Joe Burrow and all those NFL players with Joe Brady and Dave Aranda calling plays. Coach O just did great letting everyone do their part. Without all those pieces LSU won't make their expectations.

IMO coach o is not a very good coach, very fortunate to have won the natty.

He went undefeated as the interim taking over from Kiffin at USC. He can coach, contrary to what many promote. He's also the type of guy that will be next to the razor's edge on rules and ethics.

Having girlfriends attend and interfere with practice is beyond stupid. Allowing said girlfriends kids to participate in practice is cause for firing, IMHO. The more I read, the more I think LSU is doing him a service in paying his buyout, IE, thanks for the natty.

LSU wouldn’t care if he were winning football games. It’s just a convenient excuse for them. Their basketball coach was caught talking about paying players on an FBI wiretap. But he’s winning enough games that it doesn’t matter. They knew about allegations under Miles for a long time and didn’t care about those either. LSU is a cesspool

I think Os wife got caught cheating and he started slinging the wood. Good for him. He made more than most will ever see. Sure it cost him his dream job, but he’s paid, laid and championship made.

Somebody here posted, and this must be true by observation, any mediocre coach can win a natty at LSU. If that’s true, then their coaching searches by definition are pretty harmless.

Chizick didn't last long at all after winning a natty at Auburn. I think 1 season. As much as you think a natty holds weight, it really doesn't. My dad said, "You can't win todays games on yesterays homeruns".

Everyone is paying everyone top dollar and expecting everyone to win every year, so... rinse and repeat the fire, hiring and pay huge guarantees.

Sports is basically insane at all levels now, kind of like society.

As far as Ed, they had plans to get rid of him prior to the season. Once the UCLA loss happened, that opened the door for the administration to throw the season. The woke administration wanted Ed gone for some time now. It more about Ed not fitting in with the school, but the losses definitely made the window open for them.

I would not pay for my kid to go to LSU.
