What are you listening to right now?

Normally listen to rock or metal but I like to mix it up when I take the time to listen to music. I don't listen to music daily like most people. I actually prefer listening to shows or movies in the background over music.

Didn't know this band was this solid. Everyone has heard 'Radioactive' but I think they're pretty catchy in general.

Silverchair on Pandora

Will always think of Anthem for the Year 2000 when I think of Silverchair. Can't have one without the other when I think Silverchair.

Might as well thrown in the video now.

Yeah. I feel that way about a lot of music I heard growing up in the 90's. When bands like Staind are your generations Nickleback, you could do worse. You could actually have Nickleback as part of your generation... sorry if you're a Nickleback fan.

To be fair, Creed is probably more our generations Nickleback. Still, I'll take Creed over Nickleback as personal preference.

I hate Nickelback, but ashamed to say I loved Creed

You're not alone, my friend. When I hear Creed today, I still don't think they're as bad as some people make them out to be. Very catchy. Speaking of catchy, Scott Stapp getting caught banging strippers with Kid Rock. Those were the days. Kid Rock is another person we should be ashamed for liking. That's assuming you were like me and liked Kid Rock. Bah wit dah bah... at least Scott Stapp is bipolar. What's Kid Rock's excuse? Nevermind, I know the answer. Detroit. :)

Getting there. Will be 30 in about half a year. I grew up liking harder music for my age. In 4th grade I had a Manson and Nirvana t-shirt. By 5th, I had Metallica and Ozzy shirts. By 7th(or 8th) I gave my U2 shirt to my middle school history teacher. What can I say... I was a fat kid back then.

Oh man you are way younger than me. Yeah you were listening to stuff above your head at a young age. I still love the 90s music

I love 90s music too. And 80s. And 70s. And 60's. Doesn't matter if it's CCR or Eminem. As long as it's good. Unfortunately, most anything good started coming to an end by the time I was leaving high school. I mean, in high school popular music for rock was like Headstrong by Trapt or Incubus and whatever crap they released that month. It was either that or get into music like Yellowcard. There are bands back then that people have totally forgotten about.

When I saw an article recently mention Shinedown, I was surprised to see them mentioned at all. I thought I was the only one that remembered bands like that. Smile Empty Soul? I feel like these are bands that will forever be lost in the deck. You had to grow up in the 90's to understand how good it was, especially music.

One of the best concerts I ever went to cost 7 bucks. Sevendust, Ra, Cinder. The worst part of my concert going experience was that the first show I ever saw was the best show I ever saw. Kind of ruined other shows for me without realizing it until later on. Pantera was hands down the best band I ever saw live and was also the first show(Also, Vinny banged a 16 year old from my school on the bus after her 16 year old friend blew a bouncer to get backstage). On the flipside, when I went to a Slipknot, System of a Down and Rammstein show, I was left wondering what just happened. System of a Down was my favorite band at the time and they were awful live. Maybe the worst famous band I've ever seen and I took my girlfriend to a Blink 182/Green Day show as well as a 3 Doors Down/Life House show.

Good stuff

Yeah, I edited my post if you see the parenthesis. That just came to mind for some reason. It was disturbing at the time from my pov but what can you say... rock and roll!

After mentioning Pantera, the need to listen to Pantera overcame me.

If you want an added bonus, you can listen to Walk with highlights of RVD. Another thing people who didn't grow up in the 90's won't understand. I don't watch wrestling anymore because well, it's predetermined. WWEF fans saw WWEF buy out WCW and ECW but a lot of those fans never actually watched ECW prior. It's a shame because they missed out on the likes of RVD and Sabu. Then there was the whole mass transit incident... ECW was something else. Not at all like WWEF or WCW.

Probably shouldn't post this but anyone who doesn't know about New Jack and ECW... it's graphic.

Too bad Kanye is such a douche. Some of his stuff is actually amazing. It really is a shame that he himself feels the need to tell you how amazing his music is and that his music should be scripture.

I remember Aziz Ansari saying Kanye invited him over and when he walked in, Kanye was listening to his own stuff and says to Aziz "this is dope". Kanye's a dope. Good music though.

I don't know if searching varies but when I searched 50 cent on youtube, this song doesn't even come up as an option. The song that could be accredited entirely to his fame. Weird.

^ one of the many reasons I heart high school. Life was great when you were your parents responsibility and you were a f*** up who gave zero s***s. Then you grow up... well, some do. I guess I wasn't invited. :)
