Obviously we want the starters out ASAP and not to come out flat after such a big game. Specifically I am interested in these 3:

1. Secondary - they're already not very good when everyone is healthy and we don't need guys like Trevon having to play every single snap. I'm looking forward to seeing the backups get experience that will be needed against Levis and Bennett.

2. Dylan Sampson - I know Small and Wright have been playing really well, but I'd love to see this guy contribute in a big game, especially if #1 or #2 isn't having a good day. I sadly still have trust issues with them being consistent and Wright holding the ball. A couple of good defenses coming up. Someone could get hurt and he needs to be ready.

3. Joe Milton - I really like his attitude after we left him for dead following the Ole Miss drive. However, I'm really liking that in the Ball St and Akron games he was not overthrowing guys. I hope to see him play a lot tomorrow to see if that continues. If he has got those things corrected we should have a great season next year too.

I don't think it helps to measure ourselves against an opponent like UTM. For example, even if the secondary looks good tomorrow, what does that tell you? We see Levis and Bennett the next two weeks and those two games will be how we measure progress in the secondary.

To me, control the game from the onset and stay healthy. That's it.

Who is measuring ourselves against UTM? I'm asking what you want to see from what backups.
They need the playing time and I want guys like that walk on (wright?) playing as much as possible. That's what you're looking for in these games, experience and making plays by the new guys. I want to see Milton make perfect throws in a live game as much as possible.

Very simple - no injuries, key starters in for no more than a half, and a lot of time for Milton, Sampson, and Calloway, White, and the other young WR's.

I'd like to see:
Hendo put up about 400 yards in the first half just to remind people "hey, I'm still the best and deserve your Heisman vote"
Joe Milton pick up where he left off
DB's getting experience
Our studs getting a lot of rest
No injuries for either team

Tillman to get reintroduced to game time and Hooker to keep spreading the ball around, also for our D to keep improving. after the half I want to see our backups get reps and too see consistency from Milton. Mostly no injuries though.

Let JT Carver kick off once or twice, and maybe kick one or two point-afters. We're losing both Paxton and McGrath after this season, get the young blood a bit of game experience before he becomes the man.

Let Joe Milton play. A lot. At least a full quarter, maybe two. And then give Tayven Jackson some time out there.

As for the others, the Sampsons and Squirrels...heck, we should have one drive, somewhere in the second half, that features nothing but freshmen and sophomores on the field. Offense, and then defense. All lowerclassmen.

Let the announcers know in advance, so they can point it out.

Not to insult UT-Martin, but to highlight that our future is just as bright as our present.

That would be a blast.

Hooker needs to put up some numbers early and then enjoy the view from the sideline. I want to see Milton try a few runs and see how he reacts. Can Sampson get some work? No injuries, have some fun

I'm asking if there are specific players you're interested in watching
Sorry I didn’t understand your question. Yes, Pierce, Milton, more Joseph, both freshmen rb’s, the 2 freshmen lb’s, and I’m sure I forgot some others.

Huge holes on offense
Some of our RB to outrun all 3 levels to house.
a punt or KO TD return
5 QBs sacks
no QB runs over 10 yards by UTM
defend the slant
at least 2 interceptions
no injuries
rest all starters in second half
In 2nd half, let Milton use full playbook with a second team offense behind him until 5 minutes in game/then run out clock.

A win with no injuries.

Sampson needs to see a ton of reps. We can't trust him in big games after he almost got Hooker killed. He needs to start rebuilding that trust. Also, D. Williams needs a lot of reps.

I want to see Tillman catch 4 passes for 100 yds and then sit on the bench for the rest of the game.

My only hope for these kind of games is that the guys who work hard in practice but don't see the field much on Saturdays get their due. A game rep is a game rep even if it is against a FCS school.
