First off I wil say that I don't think that we wanted or cared about the game at all. We didn't hustle one bit and it wasn't the UT team that I have seen playing lately. South Carolina shot exceptionally well though, which also killed us. South Carolina shut down Chris Lofton and didn't let him have a thing. It was an awful game. :bad:

Well... didn't really get a chance to blow this game like we did against Arkansas and Kentucky. South Carolina was in control virtually the whole game...

SC in the second half was at least the third half this year that I can remember where the opposing team shot some crazy 70%+ number.

maybe its beacuse its nearly imposible to beat a team 3 times in a year?

Maybe it was because SC was able to lay-up or dunk the ball at will...

We only need a dusting to miss a day... sometimes they only have to forecast snow.

:D No one blew the game . They just lost. Why do we need to fault someone for the loss.

Didn't seem to me that it was implied that anyone blew the game. More like wanting opinions on what folks thought the factors were that caused the game to be blown, and there were quite a few. :whistling:

South Carolina outscored us 40-22 in the paint.

Wingate pulled down 5 rebounds this time, but turned it over 5 times too. Our inside guys turned the ball over 11 times and missed a lot of easy baskets to boot.

As I have been saying now for three months, SIZE MATTERS. Come tournament time, they let 'em play. Very little ticky tack calls get made. Did you see the other tournaments? Guys getting poked in the eye, bleeding profusely from thrown elbows, etc. I see this year in and year out and it has always been a problem for Florida and will be a problem for you, as thin a bench as you have. It may just be perception, but I think this is why the Big East does so well year in and year out -- they play tougher than the rest of the country.

That's not a perception. It's reality.

did they even have any teams in the final four last year? I can only recall 3 of the 4 teams.

Louisville was in the Final Four last year... Out of C-USA, of course. Other than that, it was Illinois, North Carolina and... MSU?

Yeah, you're right. What we need to do is give Ryan Childress and Stanley Asumnu more minutes. Given how productive they are, I'm sure they'll lead us deep into the NCAA tournament.
