I wish some of you folks would stop whining so much. If you fooled yourself into believing Butch could turn this train wreck around in year one, then you're an idiot. Blame yourself for not recognizing that you're not living in the 1990's. Next year, maybe were a little better........but then again, relying on freshman is a mistake.

Wake up cry babies. It is what it is. If you can't handle it go pull for Vandy.

I would like to know where are the people that were pumping the D up after the WKU game?

Any poster that mentioned that it wasn't as dominating of performance as many thought were met with:

Jeesh, can't you be happy with the win?

Didn't you see the 6 int's?

Look at the scoreboard! GTFO!

Now, these same posters are saying UT has no talent on D. This place has very selective amnesia.

Do NOT act like fans that expect UT to beat South Alabama, whose had a football team for all of 5 years (5 years!!!) are unrealistic or stupid. In our worst year, which may be this year, we should beat that team by 17+.

I tell you what kills me is everybody is hollaring play Fergie, play Fergie but if he played against UGA and threw one int everybody would be screaming play Dobbs, play Dobbs. People need to realize Worely ain't the only guy holding this team back. O line is a joke, play calling is down right bad, the receivers are running the wrong routes and dropping passes. That's just on that side of the ball our D looks like they are running with lead shoes on. If we play one of the frosh qbs guess what we still only win 1 maybe 2 more games this year, same as with Worely.

Okay.

I think most people expected 3-2 at this point.

People didn't expect to get trashed by Oregon and lose by 45.

Okay, fair enough Oregon is a damned good team.

Then we get trashed by Florida's backup QB and lose by 14. Okay, fair enough. We lost @Florida but that team might very well end up 7-5 or 8-4 this year. They're not the juggernaut Florida of the past.

Then we get up 31-7 on South Alabama. Good stuff. To that point (after our opening drive went for TD and we went up by that score) UT was looking good. Worley had some bad throws but, well, he's Worley. Then the team loses their damned minds. Offense goes 3-and-out 3 straight times and South Alabama marches the ball up and down the field.

To have a South Alabama football team who has only been around since 2009 physically and mentally dominate UT at home is not satisfactory.

That game is unsat.

I like Jones still and am holding out hope but to be honest, it's hard to look at this team and not see much different from the Dooley tenure that got trashed by Oregon, lost 31-17 to Florida and then struggled with a bad UAB team in 2010.

If we play like that with SEC opponents, we're not winning another game. Even against Kentucky. You need at least a small level of QB play. With Worley, it's impossible to look at this team doing anything of consequence.

Careful. If you're not using the depth and talent excuse you're a negavol.

What did I expect? A well coached, disciplined team that played with great effort and some serious intensity through all 4 quarters and imposed their will on lesser teams like So Alabama and pulled away in second halves. Thought I saw it vs WKU..... didn't come close to seeing it today. If that's whining and crying so be it.

Guys, we don't have the talent. We just don't have it. You can blame Dooley for doing a terrible job recruiting. I'm sorry, but everybody on our roster, including AJ Johnson, Tiny, etc. would be a back-up on the '98 roster.

I agree but improvement isn't something you can plot on a graph using y=mx+b. (Yeah I've been helping with algebra homework this week :) ).

I thought we played pretty well through the first possession of the second half. Better teams than this one have fallen asleep at the wheel after reeling off 30+ straight points.

I don't question anyone's loyalty, so I think the term "negavol" is waaay overused. But we do have a lot of delusional fans that don't really understand our position. We are not who we once were relative to talent. Not even close. Butch may be a decent coach but he is not Saban.

I believe Tennessee will be significantly improved next season. A coach's second season is where you start seeing change.

Ive agreed with this from the start. And it really rings true against the majority of our opponents. Today was not one of them.
