say at his press conference to try to begin to unite this fanbase & ease some of the naysayers?

IMO - it can't be coach speak. It has to be something along the lines of..."I know I'm not the Vols first choice however, I'm here and I'm gonna do all I can to restore this program. I know have a uphill battle but it's time to rally the troops and get to work"

Actually I don't want him to come in here and sound humbling. I want him to come in with swagger and a big "F You" attitude.

A Vonn Bell commitment tonight (or in the next few days) would be the best move he could make

or another big time recruit signs with UT

He needs to bring some confidence, which is something our last coaching regime struggled with.

He needs to bring in a top 15 class this year... Then i still will be watching from my couch.. I'm not on board and the only way i will be is if by some miracle he's a diamond in the rough.. That seems to be our style here. Get turned down by all the pretty girls and end up with the one no one was willing to dance with... I feel like this hire was made with a budget in mind , not who was best for the job...

"I've made a mistake. I resign" That's all

I want to see some swagger and confidence but honestly there is not much he can say or do today that will sway me. He gets that chance next Fall.

Recruit.....recruit.....recruit. This class will be seniors in 4 years and may make or break him at the position he is taking.

He should say, "I would like to introduce the next coach of the University of Tennessee - Nick Saban"

He needs to tell us that he has hired Tee Martin. Also that he is retaining Graham/Pittman. Firing Sal. I think Ainge said it right this am. He needs to give his staff some hometown flavor. He also needs to make sure that he has Majors and Fulmer on speed dial.

**DDD (Derek Dooley Divorce) is over...
**Dating was rocky...
**Now we've woke up this morning to find out
we're married to some yankee named BJ we hardly know...(I'm checking myself for tattoos right now)...

...it's the morning after, it's starting to sink in we either couldn't compete to get the slam dunk "groom" UT was looking to marry or the AD has lost faith in the value of our program...if that's the case the AD
better "man up" and be ready for the consequences that result and resign if we have another losing season.
We can't blame BJ for being willing to try.

The deal is done...so for his sake I just hope he can pull a winning season outta his SSA
and now that we're married...

I have to say I admire BJ has the GUTS to take on this mess and be willing to try to win over
the fans...this job isn't for the weak of heart that's for sure...I wish him well!!

At least BJ wants to be here cuz apparently
noone in the top tier wanted the job
...so I won't hit him with a frying pay just yet.

Welcome to UT Butch!!!
Go Vols!!!
