What does this game rank on your worst officiating you've witnessed....

I would have to say this was top 3 that I have ever seen. In the second half the refs almost beat UT by themselves. Thoughts?

I'd honestly say this was as bad (if not worse) than the Vandy game at Memorial this year.

I'm just glad we won.

This game made me sick to my stomach with all the BS calls going against us in the 2nd half. I almost threw my remote at the TV a few times.

Heard the crowd yelling bull**** a couple of times. Nice.

I was there and I told my dad in the first half when we were up 14 that the good news we are up by more than 10 because the refs always give KY about 10 points. Turns out I was pretty close, I figure have of those fouls called when KY headed to basket should have been traveling. Oh well we overcame the refs so I wont put in top 5 this year. i will say the refs royally did Mississippi St in against KY. I dont care what Nessler and Jimmy Dykes say. Those fans were justified for throwing stuff on the floor.

I am watching the game for the first time right now. They were letting them play for the most part in the first half. But the second half really is a different story. Slive must have given the crew a pep talk at half :D

It seems as tho the whistle goes on auto-blow when Wall and Cousins get the ball. I thought overall it wasn't horrible, but we were on the wrong end of a couple Charge/Blocks(Cousins on Chism, and Wall down the middle on PearlorTatum). We got away with some slapping down low tho, more than once. I wish Bwill had finished that Bam on Wall.!!!!

I was texting back and forth with my KY fan buddy during the game. After the Wall "charge/block" I sent him this:
"I dunno, judgement call I guess. Can't help but feel like we are getting 'Mike Slived' tho!!"

I agree Orangekush423 that we were getting away with a few, but I think the refs were letting them slide bc of our hustle...I thought that the Vandy game at TBA was the worst officiating, but today takes the cake. There were 5-6 walks by Wall/Bledsoe that were not called, Patterson had a blatant one too. Glad we pulled this one out, but I was nervous for a min.

My best friend and my brother are UK fans and one was complaining about the no calls in the first half. The other said the refs cost UK for the way they called charges and blocks. Funny that UK fans think it was a bad game for the refs when they shoot almost twice as many free throws.

Like a good friend of mine said before the game (Hey, Clockwork Orange!)....you have to be 20 points better than KY to beat them....even if you are at home.

Sports writers, announcers and officials must long for the bygone days of Adolf*.

Doesn't even crack the Top 10.

Worst officiated game I've ever watched in person was South Carolina, either in 2000 or 2001, at TBA. It's the only game where I will seriously say at least one of those officials had money on that game. We won by close to 20, but anytime we'd get the lead in the 22-25 point range, the whistles would start chiriping until it got back down to the 16-19 range, and then they'd let them play again.

How many times did John Wall take 3 or 4 steps on his way to the basket only to be bailed out by some BS foul? It had to be at least 3. Very frustrating, but fortunately it doesn't matter since we won. :rock:

Typical UT game. We always get hosed. Worst for me was when Chism was falling calling the TO and they called a travel instead. How could they miss that? As usual, there were enough one-sided mistakes to confirm the anti-UT bias by the refs. Is it just Pearl being a hate magnet or does orange affect refs like red does bulls?

Listening to a call-in show after the game. Listener called in and said UK should be proud for fighting back. And then said, "it's hard enough when it's 5 on 8" I thought, yeah, that's why they shot twice as many free throws!:crazy

Yeah, it was tough 5-8, but we over came it. It's trully hard to fathom that they're complaining about the calls. :dance2:

UK got screwed on a few calls in our 18-0 run to start the game though that got them in a hole. Then they pretty much got every call from there out until really late in the 2nd half. Like I'm not 100% sure JP should have gotten a 3-point play on his reverse layup - Bledsoe barely even touched him - similar to Cousin's first points when Bobby Maze had a forearm on his hip during his dunk.

I didnt get to watch the game just listened on theradio I couldnt imagine it was worse than last years Florida game wher TV followed JP around for like 12-15 steps T-ing him up!! I cant believe he still is allowed to officiate a game!
