What ever happened to the toss sweep?

wonder why we don't run that guy anymore? we have the speed for it. I heard this morning that although the philosophy is the same and will never change, only about 5 plays are still run that we ran in '98. Of course, the critics here would argue that oddly enough, that is the same number of different plays we run in a game. :crazy:

For a couple of years there it seemed like when they did run it, they ran it to the short side of the field. Another play we used to use (with some success) is the swing pass to the tailback out in the flat. Now, when we do throw to a back, it is normally to the fullback.Casey(not trying to take anything away from him) did not throw that pass well, and it seems that Sanders gave up on it. He must have forgotten about it, or hasn't had the confidence in our last several tailbacks.
