Did he get hurt, smart off to the coaches, or what? He started and never played again. Dykes and Nessler never made any mention of it. Anybody know anything?

Surely it couldn't be that he hasn't done anything whatsoever to help the team in the last five games.

I honestly don't know how Maymon could have gotten Mr. Basketball in a church league. He could be a decent roleplayer, if he'd accept that his role is not as a scorer.

At some point, you've got to give other guys a chance. I didn't like the fact that Maymon got so much PT tonight, but he at least was aggressive on the offensive front unlike Fields whose only job is to boot easy layups/dunks.

Fields had the same amount of rebounds as Maymon did in a third of the minutes. He had 0 TO's to Maymon's 2 (maybe 3). Fields didn't take any bad shots, and Maymon took two or three. Last game, Fields had two blocks, a steal, and two rebounds in 5 minutes. Those two statlines sound pretty good to me when you consider the amount of minutes he played.

Fields gives us extra possessions by actually trying to get offensive rebounds and he's good defensively. He actually knows his role. Sure, he has little finishing ability and loose hands, but he's played well recently. I think of him as a worse version of Ben Wallace. :p

Pretty sure he found the bench because he got pushed around so easily early on. Maymon only saw the floor for matchup purposes. Will go back to the same rotation when we arent so outmatched at the 5.

Both Fields and Maymon had a rough night on defense, and on a night when defense wins, you need to play good defense. We still need a couple of people who can play 5 position.

Fields and Tatum are on the same vacation together. They just don't seem to be in the games recently.

Maymon was aggressive and eats minutes to give other bigs a blow. He shoots bricks, but at least he plays hard. I like Hall on the offensive side, but he is a fouling machine. Both will get better with PT.

Maymon played better than Fields has of late. I'd stick with Maymon, at least you get a better defender there. None of the 5's are going to contribute much on the offensive side of the floor, might as well go with who's giving the most effort and last night Maymon gave some effort. Refreshing change.

Do I need my eyes or my memory checked? Have I been watching the same games you have watched? What has Maymon done that is better than Fields? I can't think of one. To say he plays better defense, I don't get that either. Sure, Maymon hustles, but it is rarely a hustle with any kind of control or thinking.

I like Fields. He is raw, but his athletic ability makes him our best option for that role.

What has Fields done? Where's Dooley sack of potato's comment. Neither are great, but Maymon played some defense. Fields will block a shot then give up a easy one. Had that been the case the other night Vandy would have dominated inside.
