If the game is something like 30-13 how will you react?

I appreciate the optimism (unheard of around here) about this upcoming game but Mizzu is still a really good team and our freshman is making his 1st start -on the road. Did Mizzu benefit from damaged Florida and Georgia (could make the case if Shaw was in the entire game they'd have won easily)? Yes. Does it give hope because we recently beat SCjr? Sure.

I just hope there's not a sour attitude around here if they don't even keep it within one score.

Here's to Team 117!

Pfft get out of here with your defeatist attitude.

Who cares if we keep it within one score? That moral victory bull**** was fine against UGA, when we were just looking for improvement from the Dooley days, but we've tasted blood. We want a victory.

It's football, a game played with an oddly shaped ball that when dropped could go any direction.

Outside of that metaphor, yes, people will still be stupid no matter what the outcome of the game is.

Tennessee has four shots to win 2 more game to be bowl eligible. If they lose Saturday then it's three shots to win 2. Definitely not the end of the world. The Vols are double digit road dogs in this game BTW.

Not going to happen, unless it's a disastrous day of turnovers.

If we do, I'll still be confident as ever and pumped up for the Auburn game.

GBO!

Thread starting privileges? Is that like Double Secret Probation?

Missouri is a really good football team playing at home.
We are starting a freshman qb that's had a week to think about the situation unstead of being thrown in the fire.

We'll know a lot more about the Vols after this week.

What happens if we win handily?????

Dobbs will be the starter the remainder of the season.

Worley will have to fight for his job next season.

We will end up with 7 wins in the regular season and will qualify for a warm weather bowl game, probably in Florida. Not Memphis or Nashville or Birmingham.

This win will give us confidence and momentum when we play Auburn in Knoxville.

OP, are you suggesting that this place tends to over-react? Surely not!

Let's see, leading up to the Oregon game many on here were certain UT would win based on the performance against WKU.

After losing people wanted Worley benched in favor of Peterman. They got their wish then questioned Jones for that decision. Now, those same fans that wanted Peterman (simply because he managed a td drive against Oregon's walk-ons) want him gone.

Fast forward to last week, coming off the USC win, people were thinking Bama was going down.

Yeah, I think it is safe to say this place will go into a frenzy should UT lose to Mizzou.

What happens if Mizzu wins handily?

You mean "what happens if a parallel dimension opens and Mizzou wins handily", right? Not gonna worry 'bout it.

10 point dog. Not like they don't belong on the same field as mizzu.

Toss up game but I like our chances.

There will be unrealistic reactions regardless of the outcome. If we win, some on here will expect to win out. If we lose, then its a major set back to the program for the next 3 years (example).

I don't expect to win on the road with a freshman QB, a new coach with a new offense, and a team that is still under going "a process" as coach says. That said, a win would be very encouraging going forward but wouldn't translate into meaning that we have arrived. A loss would not be the end of the world. Mizzou is loaded at WR and has a talented D-Line and they are well coached. Pinkel has been there for quite a while.

Predicting what the threads will be like after the game.

If we win- "Yea I'm expecting a NC next year."

Of we lose- "OMG Dooley could do just as good as this."

Happens every time.

Oregon and Bama are on a different level.

Uhhh....... are we counting one of Auburn, KY, or Vandy an automatic loss?
