A few questions.

1) Does Obama move toward the middle any?
2) Are senate Dems scared to pass anything else he pushes the next 2 years?
3) What is the impact of the Gov. spots gained by the right?

couple ways to go. There is historical precedent for a president to win either way. He can stick to his guns and blame the R controlled house and hope that message resonates as the reason for his failure, ie Truman. He can also do a Clinton. Both won, but both also had improving economies to ride to victory. If the economy improves appreciably, Obama will win, even though he will have had little to do with it. If it continues to suck or deteriorates, he'll lose, even though he had little to do with it.

The Messiah has a presser today. I am sure he will call for all to work together as he had tried to do for the past two years. Sad thing is, the guberment media will eat it up.

That's kind of my feeling. Not sure how he claims victory if the economy turns and he doesn't pass anything with the new congress though (guess he claims teh stimulus did it?). I guess most americans are too stupid to see through that.

That pretty much sums it up.

Isn't that what he and Pelosi have been telling us for months?

I think he has played his hand with the bills he has passed, he now has 2 years to blame the house for not passing anything else (as BPV put it). Or hope that things turn in unemployment and the economy so he has something to run on.

1) I dont think so. He lost the House, and can play the blame game still, but in the end, he still has the Senate and the final veto.

2) Possibly, after seeing the gap close on them, but I wouldnt count on it.

3) It provides a little bit of optimisim.

Which is an absolute joke coming from him. They'll be screaming from the hills about "unity" and "cooperation from both sides".

Here's some "Hope and "Change" for you dipsticks. The people have spoken.

Both sides will now proclaim their heartfelt desire to work together to overcome America's problems.

If the economy improves, both will try to take credit.

If the economy does not improve, each will blame the other.

Not that I think he will move to the middle.

But by keeping the senate, Im not sure he can play the blame game and win, even tho i think he will try. He had total control for 2 years, and last night blame Bush was rejected as the excuse.

"Blame Bush" has been and always will be an excuse for these jackwagons. They simply cant help themselves.

One thing is certain, they're not going to take responsibility. The months following last night will be overflowing with incessant ramblings of "bipartisanship" and how "we" are just as strong as ever. Let the political rhetoric begin about the perceived stability of the Democraptastic party. I'm on pins and needles just waiting to see how he spins this into a positive move for the greater good of American Democracy when we've been reassured time and time again, that other than his personal agenda, he doesn't give a damn about "working together".

Little fired up today so sorry for the rants.

What is the impact of the Gov. spots gained by the right?

===========================

The govenor chairs will be a big help in congressional reapportionment.

========================

The "Empty Suit" will not move to the middle. He is too egotiscal and all about himself. He still thinks he was annointed not elected.

No. He is an ideologue crusader who believes in what he's done and doing. He will try to circumvent Congress and dare them to impeach him on some things. He genuinely believes that America is a bad/evil/immoral country in need of a fundamental transformation.
2) Are senate Dems scared to pass anything else he pushes the next 2 years?
Depends on which way the winds seem to be blowing but they will be cautious.
3) What is the impact of the Gov. spots gained by the right?

Depends on how smart they are. It could result in a near permanent GOP/conservative majority in the House and maybe even some districts "conservative" enough to elect a Libertarian or Constitution Party rep. I am not confident they are that smart/genuine.

He deserves a good portion but not for the reasons they give. He deserves it because he spent too much and was too fiscally liberal... not because he was too conservative.

1) No but he may posture so and try to recover some of the independent and conservative democrat vote.

Basicly he will use the next two years to blame all the problems on republicans.

2) They won't attempt to pass any more of their leftist crappola without control of the house unless they try to ram one more of their idiotic agenda bill through the lame duck session.

3) That will help quite a bit in organizing for the 2012 presidential and senate races.

I believe 23 democrat senators are up for reelection bids in 2012.
