What has happened to volleyball and soccer?

What is going on with the Lady Vols volleyball and soccer teams? Last year I thought that we were good, but this year is another matter. Anyone know what's happening? It seems like I read where several of the volleyball team transferred, but am not sure.

We lost almost all the valuable players from the vball team last year (transfer/graduation). I think it had something to do with the coaching staff, due to the large number of transfers. The soccer team is down because opponents figured out how to prevent us from scoring (stop Brown, stop Wilkinson, stop Tennessee).

Agree with Born's assessment of soccer team.

With soccer, our recruiting fell off under the previous coach--need better, more athletic players, especially in midfield. Current team was pretty young--though our best player, Brown, is a senior and now gone. Wilkinson is a very good player but she had very little impact this year--missed games but of commitments to her national team and simply did not score. We need better midfielders. Not long ago we had the best soccer team in the conference; this year we finished tied for 10th! The coach is good but he and staff HAVE to recruit better.
