To me, it was a good game from the Vols. I dont love them, but even I must admit they impressed me.

1) They can play some D.
2) They need threes. 0/8 threes and still losing by 10-12 is decent.
3) Dont let Golden get in foul trouble. They went downhill after it.
4) Kenny Hall needs to step up. He had a medicore game and UT was still competitive.
5) Coaching was good. A few bad calls, but overall Coach was pretty good.
6) Duke is vulnerable. Their guard play is good, but they have some trouble.

And finally...
7) UT is for real. I was a skeptic, but I think they can and will be good.

Also to note was how much espn kissed Duke butt. All the replays were for Duke. The commentators raved about Coach K.

I have nothing against it, but at least pretend you approach the game from an un-biased view.

Great effort from the Vols. If the Tigers haad come out with that intensity, they would've won by a dozen.

It's gonna be a good game at 2 tomorrow.

Pretty sure Jimmy Dykes gave Cuonzo props multiple times. But ESPN still hates UT.

Yeah he may have but COMPLETELY overshadowed by the duke hype. Not even comparable.

Duke gets hype no matter who's covering the game. Our fans need to realize who the commentators "favor" in their minds has dick to do with the game, or the program.

Duke is going to struggle without Singler and the Plumlees as their big men. They have potential but are very overrated IMO.

Duke is NOT a top ten 10. I've said it multiple times. They are about 13-16 or so right now. When they play a legit low post team they will get hammered.

Maymon had a double double on them and missed 6 shots. He could've went for 25 and 12 on them, and no offense but he is not an elite big man.

3) Dont let Golden get in foul trouble. They went downhill after it.

I had the same thought but the result proved that wrong. Golden only played 4min in the 1st half and Tenn led for a lot of the half.

I disagree with the notion that we played really well defensively. Duke shot 48% and we only forced 11 to's. They scored at will from the perimeter because we gave them too many open looks, and when they wanted to, they beat us with their size inside.

This team will struggle to score in the paint this year, so we really need to shore up our FG% defense. Every team we have played has shot between 42%-48%. That is just too high for a team that will takes its lumps in the paint.
