This staff is not content with a full class. They expect the flips, possibly Thomas and Bryant (I hope not). So they are in big time with sawyer, Evans and Scott among others. Seems like in the past few years we sat there waiting for the faxes, only to see disappointment. Hats off to this staff recruiting wise, now give Thig a raise already.

We're very lucky to have such a dedicated staff that really cares about the success of our proud program. Sensational job under the circumstances.

I like the fact they have the best class we've seen in at least 8 years

If they keep this up, we will be back sooner than later

Relentless Pursuit of Perfection Perhaps :dunno:

If you want it, go get it. Whether you think you can or not is irrelevant. That's what this staff does. Polar opposite of the last staff.

I have to admit, the apparent never stop work efforts of this staff is exciting to watch. In years past, we have a handful of commitments prior to the end of football season and kept waiting for the infamous "big fish" to wash up on NSD. Now, we have a whole net full of big fish and are already reading about recruiting efforts for 2015 and even 2016. Hats off to CBJ and his staff! Can't help but think there might just be a good surprise on NSD as opposed to the disappointments of being a close second on so many recruits that we thought might be wearing the Orange. I'm really super thrilled with the 14 we have in school right now and with the remaining class that we all hope to see sign in a few weeks! GBO

The recruits are recruiting equally hard. Case in point, Mosley recruiting Evans at the Offense/Defense bowl. That came out of nowhere.

It certainly seems like CBJ has turned up the marketing and brand building as well....lots of stuff we haven't seen before.

Unless an impatient fanbase scare them off somewhat similar to the way O'Brien was scared off by Penn. State. Yeah, I know, it was an entrenched staff thing stuck in the Paterno way, but effect would be the same with fans here.

Its the first year in the past 5 that I felt less pressure when a kid makes his decision live, I don't get depressed when they choose another school because CBJ already knew where they stood with the player day or 2 before and was already working on the next recruit truly knowing UT is in GOOD HANDS so VOL NATION sit back and enjoy the ride...its going to be fun to watch...and give Thig a big raise and contact with a 100 million buyout.

Many people have said O'Brien was not a college guy: that he belongs and felt more at home in the nfl

The same can't be said for CBJ

I've been pretty blown away by their recruiting.

It seems like that was a big question mark coming in, but they have certainly answered.

The effort and dedication to recruiting is important and necessary, and their pulling in the talent is important as well, but I think the biggest WIN in recruiting we have is the overall atmosphere of excitement and positivity from our recruits. They buy in, are excited to come in and get to work (not just play early), are excited about the program direction, and excited to make an impact and build it back--> they interact with other recruits (ex, the DT from WI via time with Charles Moseley)--> the excitement and positivity surrounding the program bleeds off on others--> we are in on SO many talented guys. This positivity is something we've not had in too long.
