I just got to thinking how important Stokes has been to us, and I was wondering what you all thought about this. At his current level, had he been with us all year, are we a 1-2 loss only team right now? I think Duke and one other upset is it, and even the Duke game I think we would've won because I don't see any player in the NCAA right now not named Sullinger stopping Stokes down low, and none that could stop both Stokes AND Maymon.

I'll stop before I sound like my orange tint glasses and jack daniesl are doing all the talking for me :hi:

I heard the commentators say that during the game at one point, so they would agree with you.

I'm not a bball expert by any means, but out of all the great players that I have seen in numerous games, I would agree with you as well.

If Stokes had been playing the whole year, I can see us having several more wins and in the top 25 right now.

Only problem is that if either one of them had stayed, we wouldn't have had a scholarship for him.

Exactly and people seem to forget Scotty. There were 3x as many hate threads for him as there are for golden. He wouldn't have worked out with ccm that's why they never even talked face to face both parties knew.

I could've seen Scotty staying, Tobias and Stokes would mean no room for Maymon.

We still would have lost to Duke and Memphis on the road.

I was more responding to the "we might only have 1-2 losses with Stokes here all season" comment being a little silly when we have two losses in three games with Stokes here

We had many problems early in the year like lack of defense. I don't know stokes would have helped us too much before the first half of the season honestly. Timing has been great with team buying in and stokes showing up

Final four rotation?

Replace Golden with Bobby Maze. Maze is a much better distributor and plays better defense. There's a reason he was the one to lead us to the Elite Eight. And I might replace Tyler Smith (or one of the Tyler Smith's) with J.P. Prince. Smith is a better player, but Prince's skill set is unique among recent Tennessee players and he could be an invaluable situational player.

im not gonna go through the maze/golden arguement again all im gonna say is show me a season at UT that maze led the sec or averaged even close to what golden does in assists, you cant. people saying maze is a much better distributor are not paying attention to what golden is doing out there distributing. maze led us his senior year, before we count out the sophomore golden maybe we should let him finish his career.

yea i had t smith playing 2 spots so it'd me a 9 man rotation i dont like 10 man rotation just feel people dont get a feel but id be fine adding prince he brings a unique skill set.
