We shouldn’t lose three more games, imo. My preseason guess was 9-3 or 8-4. Shame on me for counting FL as a win though we have more talent then FL. A five loss season means we underachieved and I be disappointed.


Next yr will be more of the same but I expect Heup to compete for SEC title in the 2025 season as that will be his 5th season and most likely Nico’s last yr if he plays the way folks anticipate.

I see Georgia as a loss, but I’m interested to see how they play this week without Bowers.

Missouri has me stumped, I don’t think they are that good. But they just keep beating everyone, so I’ll say that’s 60/40 us.

I think we beat Kentucky and Vandy handily.

That he had a roster on offense, primarily, in the passing game that was too young to step up and fill the void of Hyatt/Tilan and Milton expectations were too close to Hooker than they should have been. If we somehow go 7/8 wins this regular season, to me it’s no biggie. Last year’s wins were worth it for me personally. And we are a competitive program again. We aren’t getting boat races constantly by the big 3.

But why tf was Joe ever seen as a qb that can play this system???
Pick any other qb in the SEC this year (minus milroe) and this team is undefeated at this point

Are you saying those two games were blowouts like we’ve seen over the last 15 years? Because I can point to plenty of games that were actual blowouts with way bigger scoring margins…. I mean Florida and Bama games this year both red zone turnover on downs this year in lady 5 minutes to make it a single digit margin aka NOT a blowout or game that was over from kickoff like we have been accustomed to. Especially when on the road against the Big 3

We had a chance to win in the fourth quarter against Bama with JG, just like we had a chance yesterday. Same result both times. I’m just tired of moral victories and excuses year after year.

And he has had 3 years to get a replacement for Hooker, it is if Hype was just counting on Joe, and planned for next year and not this year for qb

Who were the quarterbacks on the roster when Heupel took over? And which one of those were actually willing to stay given the state of our program then?

Milton was probably the best transfer get on the market that actually wanted to come here. Well, him and Hooker. That’s actually solid qb depth given a brand new head coach at a university under major sanctions.

lol. We haven’t had moral victories year after year….. we have never been in a better spot from coaching, talent, system to take on the Big 3 in the last 15 years. Outside of 2022 and 2016, we’ve never had expectations that we should win a lot of games because of a multitude of reasons.

To sit here and say that it’s been moral victories year after year for the better part of 15 years is simply inexperience as a Vol fan…We’ve had 2 seasons since Fulmer where we had the actual expectation we could line up across the Big 3 and actually beat them. All the other years it was a pipe dream. But keep being a cry baby

I’ve been following the Vols since before I can remember and I’m 57. And I sure as hell don’t base my expectations of what this program should be on what we have done the last fifteen years.

I can assure you I would have no problem calling you a cry baby for saying you’re tired of the “moral victories” year after year for the better part of the last 15 years…. I had to do so plenty just yesterday with plenty of so called Vol Fans….

Tennessee’s program is in the best shape it has ever been from coaching, recruiting, AD support, fan base most likely since some point since Fulmer years…. To sit here and say that we are still in the “same ole, same ole” as year after year where we hoped to not get blown out by a big number vs the Big 3 is truly ignorant.

As I said, you can continue to cry about the same moral victories you claim we cling to, but we are in a position as a program we haven’t seen in a 20 years…

Anyone claiming to follow the Vols for 3-4 decades would know this.
