IIRC, a month or two ago they had a top 5 class of commitments (I could be wrong). I don't even think they finished in the top 25.

It seems there were 3 schools that had a ridiculous early 2009 for 2010 recruits. They were Ohio St, Texas and Southern Cal. LSU was up there too, and they finished strong. Of those 4, Ohio St. just disappeared.

Yeah OSU had a pretty down year recruiting especially compared to their last few classes. A couple of the kids were Catholics who went to ND, LB Hicks moved to Ohio as a kid and didn't grow up an OSU fan, Latwan Anderson hasn't signed with WV yet and is rumored to be waiting on admission to OSU, and I don't think Spencer Ware (LSU) was heavily recruited since they're pretty full at RB.

They should be fine next year but something like this would kill you after a few years in the SEC. Ask Fulmer.

I vaguely remember seeing something somewhere about them not having many scholarships to offer. They don't seem too worried about this class. Of course, they really hate missing on Henderson and Hicks.

If it causes misery for the scarlet-and-gray mouthbreathers, I'm all in favor of it.

I think kids are finally seeing the writing on the wall at OSU and the Big Ten...The entire conference (besides PSU) struggled in recruiting this year. I live in Big 10 country and its cold, wet and miserable about 7-8 months a year....I would never go to college in these areas. I make good money is the only reason I live here....Its 10 years, sell my house and move back south with eniugh to pay cash for a home

What's the writing on the wall say? Considering the Big Ten as a whole is coming off its most successful season in recent years, I doubt kids suddenly want to get out because of weather. I've lived in the south most of my life and the heat and humidity aren't much better than snow.

Only the big 3 in the conference typically recruit well year to year so I don't think one lower ranked OSU class means anything. I'd be shocked if their 2011 class isn't top 10, maybe even top 5.
