What is It With The State Of Alabama's College Students

Only three of the 17 wounded in Tuscaloosa were students, and none were football players.

What, exactly, are you trying to insinuate?

Somebody getting a little defensive?

Something bad is in the water in Alabama lately.

More than 20 people get shot between two unrelated incidents, and you want to make it about football?

I pray you don't have children.

What is it? No personal responsibility or respect for anybody. Pretty sure it can all be attributed to rap music

I sure would not want my child to go to a school to play football if that school has a history of such violence.

If this had taken place in Knoxville, you would have been all over this like stink on a turd.

It sucks that anyone was shot, but the facts are that there have been some shootings at two SEC schools in Alabama that have been tied to students and football players.

Come on really? Your hate for the schools is obstructing your comprehension imo.

Wrong. If a football player committed the crime, I'd discuss it. But if he were nothing but an innocent victim? There's nothing worth discussing other than how tragic that is.

The shootings were "tied" to students in that students were hurt or killed. Neither shooter was a student. And there were no Bama players even at the bar this morning, let alone injured in the shooting.

Bama Assistant Coach Among The Shooting Victims
Kelvin Sigler, the former Blount High coach who recently joined Alabama's coaching staff as an offensive analyst, was one of the 17 injured during an early morning shooting at a Temerson Square bar.

Sigler, a former Alabama defensive back, was treated for non-life threatening injuries, an Alabama spokesperson confirmed to the al.com Tuscaloosa bureau.

Maybe Alabama students make people want to shoot them

I want to beat Alabama as much as the next person. I will also say that there are some ridiculous people living in Bamaland. However, I'm not sure what the OP is insinuating here. Nothing wrong with going to a bar. It wasn't even late yet. It seemed pretty random to me. UT had some problems on the strip just a few weeks ago. This tends to happen more often during the summer. It seems like more people living outside of the University start merging towards campus.

Police believe the rampage was connected to a shooting at a home about 45 minutes earlier. They are investigating whether both evolved from a dispute between rival motorcycle gangs.

Investigators believed the suspect, who allegedly used a military-style assault rifle, was targeting an individual inside the Copper Top Bar.

"When he first walked up and there were people outside on the sidewalk, he stood for several minutes watching and observing before he fired a shot," Anderson said.

He wasn't even in the bar, and he came from another disturbance.

The Strip is a haven for Knoxville's worst during the summer.

Nobody but pseudo-guidos, thugs, and nasty trailer trash.
