What is NOK stand for

The NO Hornets have NOK on their jersey. They also had NOK on the tv for the score. What does the K stand for?

New Orleans/ OKlahoma City.

"NOOKC" would have looked dumb.

btw, I didn't just pull that out of my nethers...pulled it out of google.

I'm not a big NBA follower, but let me try this reasoning:

The Hornets moved from Charlotte to NO, for what ever reason possesed the owners to believe the franchise would be more successful and lucritive there. [And in the meantime Charlotte is going to get (or already have), a new team.] Now a team in NO is split with Oklahoma City with no apparent home court in Okie, since the NO_OK team is based for home games and franchise management in NO? Sounds like they should have just spelled out the new acronym in full. NOOKIE cause someone's gettin' it.

I guess ya gotta be a tennessean with that just screwed and rolled off feeling by the NJ devils to understand this....remember how they used Tennessee to get their contract met?

So you're saying the New Jersey Devils teased Tennessee about coming there form their previous location before ultimately settling on that beacon land and opportunity that is New Jersey?

Your seriously not gonna take the position that those bums did'nt use Tennessee's intrest in the Hockey team as leverage to gain their intrests in a contract?
