I always have a gut feeling or some kind of karma about a game to where I seem to know the outcome b4 the game is played. I have such a weird feeling for this game, I have no idea....I can never remember a game with such a strange set of circumstances...I have no grasp on this one at all.....How about the rest of you???

I feel like the offense may click. The few extra days have allowed some physical healing and some extra time for Ainge to take more snaps.

Plus, LSU had to score 28 in the fourth quater to beat ASU. If we go in and let it all hang out Volnation should be pleased with the outcome.

Look at it this way, there's no way we can get worse throwing the football down the field or on special teams. It's all downhill from here.

My fear is that Randy keeps our O bottled up.

Your feeling is right, I prefer to say that opposing DC keep our offense bottled up. Vols let it all hang out and win despite RS.

i have had this really wierd feeling since monday morning that we would win this game. i think the extra time is even better. our gameplanning should be right on for this game.

i just dont see lsu doing much against our d. it is evil and will dominate o-line and recievers.

I think LSU is going to be playing with a lot of emotion.
Playing for family members displaced by the hurricane, dedicating the season to the victims, etc.

Football is a game of emotion and momentum, and LSU has hat on their side. You could see it last game where they scored 28 in the 4th quarter to come back and win. I think that makes this team very difficult to beat.

Putting all bias aside...I think this is going to be a whale of a game.

Tenn always fields quality teams and I think that this year will be no exception. I know ya'll have had some problems but I'm confident that those wrinkles will be ironed out soon, if not this weekend.

LSU has only played one game so really is an "unknown" at this point. The defense is suspect with that performance against ASU, but then again, ASU has torched the D's that they have played, so it's hard to get a read on that angle.

This is going to be a classic SEC matchup.

If the Tenn QB performs well, I think that the game will be very close. I believe that LSU has a more "balanced" offense, with the obvious caveat that we have only seen one game's performance.

Coaching...who knows? Les Miles has no SEC track record at this point so that's an unknown also. CPF always seems to coach a strong run first O but is always capable of good air attack too.

This game screams toss up to me, but I have to go with my Tigers. I'd bet if these teams met 10 times, it would be 5-5.

Pick'em :dunno:

Strange reading through the above replies. . . . a week ago everyone had given up hope and thrown in the towel. Now, a week goes by, we have a "chosen" QB, LSU and Rita stir the pot of emotions, Fulmer says some positive things after practice, Florida could have beaten Kentucky 100-7 if they had so desired, making a close loss on the road more bearable for UT. . . . .and things are looking up.

Honestly, for me, I feel pretty good. Uneasy, but good. I like the way Ainge sounded in his interview on the PF show -- the confidence seemed to be there, more like early last season. In my mind, we won't have a special teams disaster like last week EVER again. Surely Phil and Randy have discussed the offense and have read and studied over EACH AND EVERY INDIVIDUAL POST on VolNation (sorry about the sarcasm, there).

I'm looking for a breakout game that lives up to the pre-season hype we were given.

The good news for UT is offensively, the QB situation will probably settle down the offense. Look for them to look a whole lot better against LSU. If not, then Im on the fire RS bandwagon :biggrin2:

I think another thing in our favor is the fact that we lost to UF. When was the last time the Vols lost two in a row?

We should dominate them on offense through the air because LSU doesn't have a passing defense....They're the worst in the nation....I may be wrong but I believe I seen where they're in the 100's with their pass defense....If Ainge can hit his marks, like I believe he can...We will be fine.

I think the Vols on defense and special teams will be much more aggresice in tackling. I also look for recievers to break out big when they catch a ball, and Riggs is gonna be awesome. I picked the Vols to score 52...I think they'll explode all over the Tiggers!

You know the old saying, optimism grows eternal in the male gonad. Its true for football too.
