Bray, Hunter and (likely) Patterson are out the door. Get over it. Move on. Frankly, the WR position in college ball is virtually irrelevant when it comes to a key component of winning it all.
Do this: Name a single wide receiver who was a huge factor in the SEC's 6-run right now for NCs. Julio Jones, OK. Granted. Any others? Nope.
How about QB's? Tebow (2x) and Newton. They were big contributors. Bray had the talent to *throw* for an NC, but ran like my friggin grandma.
Here's what really wins NCs: A dominating, nasty defense, and an in-your-face running attack. Tebow and the wildcat has put the onus more on the quarterback for running, but it's still *running* yardage that wins it all. Remember Tebow straight up the middle against us... again and again and again. Yet, we couldn't stop it. Remember how we used to dominate teams in the 90s? Yeah... ran their asses over with big O-lines and pissed off running backs.
I wish Bray, Hunter and CP the best of luck, but they weren't our keys to returning to the big time. Hopefully, Butch and company will study our competition and understand what it takes to win in this league. It ain't that complicated.
