The AP is reporting that the notes from Kerry's latest flub have been obtained by CBS news, and apparently he's not such an idiot after all. They are reporting that what he really meant to say was...

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t..you get stuck at the University of Alabama!"

Don't criticize somebody's joke in another thread and then come with that. :p

And as a footnote, I went back and added Biggrin2 emoticon to the end of that remark in the other thread...:)

There is an old military joke about a hotshot fighter pilot being interviewd by the press and a harried PIO (Public Information Officer) trying to cover his gaffes.

Reporter: "What's your opinion of the support personnel at your base?"

Pilot: "Support? Are you kidding? That two-headed crew chief of mine couldn't find his a** with a road map and compass. The kitchen staff used to work at Dachau and I got mail from last year yesterday!"

PIO: "What the Lieutenant means is that he appreciates the difficulties posed to support personnel by operations at such remote and isolated bases."

and so on ...

The LAT, Left-Wing media have fallen all over themselves to explain "What Lt. Kerry means is ..."

John "Effing" Kerry, (D-umba**) IS an idiot. No doubt about it.
