It takes all of these to become a champ but if we were to put them in a level of importance my list would be........feel free to do your own list. As someone who has driven a race car from 5y to 24y lets see if you agree with my analysis.
1. Driver- You can still win a race with a slower car if you have a great driver. The driver can also make up for a bad handling car and is responsible for telling the pit crew how the car is acting. Communication is KEY.
2. Pit Crew (father..LOL) If I or any driver pulls in the pits and says I am to loose, to tight, pushing goin in the corner or comin off the corner, need less or more stagger, gearing is weak off or goin in the corner ECT, ECT. They have to be able to fix these issues or at least get the chassi goin in the right direction.
3. Chassis- You should start with close to or better chassi than you opponent. If you start with 5 year old equipment it is harder to stay up front. Good equipment. I am leaving money out of this post because we all know it is important.
This is how I feel so tell me what you think and things I may have overlooked.
