What makes a credible source?

Who the hell can we believe? I've been skeptical of every post claiming Hart has ever talked to anyone. IMO these so-called reporters with inside sources have been talking out of their arses and not a single one has any knowledge of the situation. They're throwing names until one of them sticks. Hubbs, Rucker, Basilio, etc included. They're fishing for blog hits and Twitter followers.

When you see a coach reporting from Spring practice you can feel fairly confident he is the leader of the Vols football team.

Sad thing is the pros are coming to the boards and internet for there info and people on the boards are doing the same...so unless you actually know one of the big boosters or the AD personally...were going to have to wait until Hart trots our pony to the podium!

That's a bingo!

The boosters and AD keep tight lips for a reason. You have multiple candidates interviewing for a job, you don't let them know how many are intinterviewing or who is interviewing.

These reporters and fans on the board spreading rumors do nothing but hype names that may not even be in consideration. This, in turn, lets down the fanbase when their favorite candidate is not hired. It sets the new coach on a bad foot with the outspoken fans.

He obviously wasn't the only one claiming to be "in the know". I never was hanging on his every word. He put himself out there in a big way. Found it funny that he was so bold...and so wrong.

Believe someone who value's credibility and has a name, a real name. For example someone who will not report something they do not know as fact.

We have a mod (yes and actual mod here) who said Gruden to TN was done.

We had BPV (who has always been a straight shooter) says Gruden to TN

We had Jayvol who seems like a nice guy say Gruden to Vols.

Something happened with the Gruden search. I don't know what but something changed or they were being lied to from the start. I don't think any lied.

Now as for the rest of the bunch on here, I dont trust them at all.

I also dont trust Wes Rucker or TB.

I do somewhat trust Hubbs but the problem with Hubbs is he tells the info at the same time its happening...no leaks with him.

So basically....I trust no one here at this point.

And yes, part of me thinks Gruden is still coming at this is all a deploy to make it through his Monday night football season in peace.

Anyone that believed someone by the name of VolReporter is an idiot. An obvious troll. Pretty good at it to start, but got too greedy with the attention. Sad. I'm a better troll than that and half the time I don't even try.
