Everyone has different reasons they are excited about any upcoming year (even tho many of you are still crying in the dark). Likely a .500 season but I still can't wait for kickoff. What about you?
The defense showing they don't suck that bad and turning into a decent unit?
Seeing who might be the future commander of the offense?
Seeing a new offense system under a new playcaller?
Watching Jones celebrate after an upset over a rival (for those of us who still believe in miracles)?
Watching as Palardy lines up for a crucial FG... kidding.
I think we're all anticipating how CBJ leads the team thru big games on big stages, so I'm going to say how the offense looks. Little worried but still excited how things unfold there.

Knowing we have a competent coach on the sidelines. Knowing that the players respect the coach and want to play hard for him.

I'm with VollyGirl, this is a very nervous time. Last year we expected 8 or 9 wins and ended up with a dumpster fire. This year we expect 6-7 wins, maybe it works to the upside this time????

Concerns about QB or WR volly? Or something else?

Both, and the defense. And I absolutely LOVE what's happening, and I know these kids have worked their tails off to make something out of this season.

I honestly feel like these coaches love our kids. I know they get a paycheck, but they seem so much more emotionally invested in the football program than what I've seen the last several years.

I just want our players and coaches hard work to have a payoff and I don't know if that's gonna happen. I honestly want it more for them than for me (a fan.)

This year, the closer it gets the more nervous I am. I don't like it.

Gotta stay pumped Volly! I'm only nervous because what I expect vs. what I hope happens, are so far apart....its driving me nuts. This season cant get started fast enough.

What is there to be nervous about? This is kind of a fun time as far as I'm concerned. Hope is high and expectations are low. It's as pressure free as it will ever be.

It is indeed a fun time, I sometimes have trouble keeping my hopes in check though.

More nervous for our team I think. There are a lot of young men that deserve to go out on a high note, we have some very loyal seniors on this team.
I just want to see them walk out of Neyland for the last time with their heads held high, knowing that they are winners and laid the foundation for a very bright future.

To sappy?

I'm going with the Defense, they will be fun to watch and be putting a lot of effort in there assignments and tackling and using correct angels to the ball and receivers, hopefully it will be fun to watch the improvements this year

I agree with you on all points. It very well may be a hard year. As long as I don't see quit in the team and recruits back out for next year I'll be satisfied (for now) Still hoping we can get to a bowl game...

I'm hoping our O line is as good as advertised.
