would you like to see the new coach install? I think if the new coach installs the spread offense it will take a few years to get the kind of players we need to run it. I like a pro style offense, imo it is better for recruiting, esp qb's, if we were to get Mullen I know he would install his spread offense and I think we may struggle on offense for a few years and also would def ensure Bray, CP and Hunter would all go pro this year.

I'm a big fan of the system Stanford and the 49ers are running currently. Power run game, use extra linemen if they have to, but they do it creatively and effectively.

How about one where the game is on the line and we run the ball on 3rd and 1 instead of throw a ball down the field 30 yards to a covered Zach Rogers? Especially when we had been running the ball well pretty much the entire game! Basically, I would like to see play calling made based on probability.

Speaking of the Stanford system, as each day passes I really like the idea of a David Shaw or Greg Roman being hired as HC. I know its not the rock star everyone wants but I have come to the conclusion that I just want us to win games, recruit very well and compete for championships every year. I dont care who does it for us as long as it happens. If Shaw can recruit at Stanford, imagine what he could do here. And yeah I know he's getting alot of California kids but they still have to qualify to get in at Stanford. Same goes for Roman. He's done it before and is getting the best out of his players every week in SF. I don't think Gruden is coming and that's why I've jumped on the Harbaugh coaching tree as an answer.

If Gruden dont come I would not mind either of those 2 but I just dont think they want to leave the west coast.

Its possible but its also amazing how 3-5 million can change your mind in where to live. Truthfully, I think if anyone is a possibility it's Roman. Shaw is set at Stanford for now

And guess who called out Andrew Luck at Stanford? Jon Gruden with the Spider 2 Y Banana

Bring Derek Mason along too. He is on the fast track. 3 years with the Minn. Vikings. 2 years with Stanford on defense. Also Associate Head Coach. Shaw must think a lot of him to do that.

Everyone who has worked for Harbaugh has turned out to be a fantastic coach. Jim is the new bill wash. Funny that they both took the same path. Stanford to San Fran. And their assistants are gems. History repeating itself

A good coach will develop an offense and defense to make the players better than they are. If they are single focus coaches, they won't be able to do that. Good coaches learn various choices that they can implement as the roster dictates.

it seems to me that TN only wants guys from the south, I think this is a mistake, Saban, was not from the south, Meyer was not from the south, Miles was not from the south, I just hope they go everywhere to look.

I'm more of a spread offense kind of guy... Not saying you don't run it on 3rd and 1, but I really would like to see an offense that could just as easily score in under a minute as it could chew up the clock for 8. I have a feeling this conference is going to start looking a lot different now that blood has been drawn by a team that actually has an offense.

UT sould get Paul Johnson and run the triple option

Easily the smartest idea out of this entire saga. No sarcasm either; I love the offense and am well-versed in it.

I may or may not annoy my wife by watching GT (and Navy) and calling every play they run.

I'd puke if I had to watch that every Saturday. I hate watching option based offenses.

I'm sure Nebraska fans sure hated watching 35 years of immensely successful football.

The spread offense we ran this past year worked pretty well, I just wish we would add a couple packages from under center.

I see where Arkansas threw the bank at Les Miles. We should keep Chaney, get a head coach and get Kirby Smart for DC. Problemm being gettinga coach to retain some that are here already. Would be nice though.

BEST Offense to install = A GOOD Defense with a QB that doesn't turnover the ball!!! :hi:

i like to see the double tight end set with athletic tight ends like wat new england runs and be able to pound ya to death or hit play action on mis-match linebacker vs a athletic tight end down the middle for big play or touchdown and wrs that can run block and be able to make big play for ya down the field...then get a lead and have ground and pound on the clock that being said....offense dont matter if u dont have a defense to stop a elem. school team....

The O was pretty good but in a pinch we always went to Bray's arm. I think it is key in the sec to be multiple on offense. So, a pro style is the best choice IMO. It doesn't seem to work that way on D. Speaking of D what happen to all the talk of Charlie Strong. I like him better then Golden.

Our offense wasn't the problem this year; however, I would love to see a better running game.

Just because teams are successful with it doesn't mean I enjoy watching it.
