Work took me to West Plains, Missouri. Picked up the local paper and the top story was about raising goats. True story.
"-We wouldn't have beaten South Carolina if not for the crazy catch so apparently the South Carolina victory is insignificant "
I guess three consecutive three and outs in the fourth quarter and holding them to 4 of 14 third down conversions meant absolutely nothing.
-back to the schedule discussion. Apparently we "haven't really played that hard of a schedule, because the only rankings that matter are the ones at the very end of the season"
Had the officials called the blatant pass interference, no one would call that catch lucky. I also don't think it's lucky when someone who has made a number of acrobatic catches comes up with the ball like that. That's not luck, that's a freak of nature making his third clutch catch in the same game.
I find stating a fact to be quite intelligent; Dooley WAS the problem.
But it isn't a "fact" if you say someone or something is/was 100% of the problem when that isn't and wasn't the case. Dooley failed to resurrect the program. He brought in some good players and cleaned the program up from a crime and NCAA perspective.
He did not put the program where he found it. That was in small part Kiffin and in large part Fulmer.
It is not a fact to simplify it to "its all Dooley's fault".
