We have 19 commits right now. There are 9 positions I'd love to fill, but I don't think we have room for 28 commits, even with back counts.

Here is how I would prioritize:
1. OT (Richardson)
2. DT (Wright)
3. DE (Pagan)
4. TE (Clear)
5. LB (Dawson or Paul)
6. S (Loften or Moore)
7. OG (Jackson)
8. CB (Lanier)
9. APB (Morris, Bellamy, or Bigelow)

I think finding another all-purpose back should be a lower priority than almost every other position, but the staff really seems to want a speedy APB. So assuming we can't take 28 guys, which of these positions do we not get to take?

a great defense enables you to win the game with a field goal so i say DT... forever and ever.. we can never get enough DT's... esp considering how thin we are with fulmers lack of recruiting and kiffin leaving us in a lurch... i mean Ayers? seriously? a walk on... unbelievable here... then lb.. reveiz got exposed by those underneath routes alot... cobb 10 catches over the middle at ten yds a pop.. we need size at DT and speed at linebacker first and foremost... pass rush makes a DB's job alot easier... Jaques Smith is gonna hurt people next year i think.. he is fast

I think our D held Cobb in check for the most part. He didn't score and had very few yac, and also a turnover. Reveiz with out a doubt is our defense MVP this year.

That being said, I don't think we get another DT this year.

What's the deal with Montori Hughes? And who will be the DT depth chart next year

1. LB- Dawson/Paul
2. TE- Clear
3. OT- Richardson
4. DE- Pagan
5. CB/S- Moore/Lanier
6. APB- Morris
7. OG- Jackson

Moore and Lanier move up a spot or 2 if Loften doesnt qualify. But the LB position scares me. We need playmakers and Dawson or Paul would be huge to go w/ AJ. And I am a big Cam Clear fan. He would probably step in and be our #2 TE next year.

I think you have Jackson and Walls/Hughes starting. Then the latter of Walls/Hughes along with Couch as the two deep. I think Ayers has shown he is serviceable. He had a sack against UK.

Were going to have a surprise or 2 by NSD. As things stand right now this is how I see things, remember this is fluid

OT: Richardson
OG: Jackson
TE: Clear
DT: Wright
DE: Pagan
LB: Paul
CB: Lanier
S: Loften

The staff knows they are in a numbers crunch, we will have 1-2 guys greyshirt & asked to "weight their options".

Do you really see Loften getting in? I want him to, but if he was, don't you think he would have by now? Alteast there would be some sort of promising news.

I'm not confident Hughes will even crack the two deep next year. I could see Jackson/couch as starters with walls( if his injury is healed completely )/one of two freshmen or ayers in the two deep. DT is going to be a big issue untill sone quality depth is brought in.

Are you saying a surprise other than the names you posted?

Hubbs still feels confident of him getting in, I still believe it's a long shot but right now I'm going with Hubbs. I think that if we dont land Loften then we will use the scholly on another position. I dont see us landing Moore.

I think we have a better shot at Moore than we do Wright. Hubbs did say he doesn't see us getting Wright didn't he? Loften would be awesome, but I think its time to move on for both parties.

Yes, he said as of right now he does not see us getting Wright. JB says Wright is a Vol.

Everything the kid has said publicly has been Auburn but there is a big Auburn fan base where he is, it could be JB knows something that Hubbs doesn't but Brent is usually money. I think when some of these coaches start hitting the living rooms Auburn may lose some of its luster.

I think some we have will go else where. They always do. And we pick up some more. Dooley talks to these kids parents and he will close the deal. Just wait and see.
