I don't hate Kentucky; they're more like an obnoxious little brother.

Alabama, however, comes a little closer in disgust and contempt, as that state often manifests ignorance untempered by humility ...

... yet, as I write things like that, i recall that 2 of my favorite people in my church came from Alabama, as did Tee and CJP, and once my car broke down in Tuscaloosa and i was helped by a fine young gentleman.

So ... maybe don't hate nobody a-tall.

Ha, I should have known that you were a Tom Lehrer fan. We watched That Was the Week That Was when I was a kid, and we had all Lehrer’s albums. As a fourth-grader, I particularly appreciated “New Math”, as I was one of the guinea pigs. (Our textbook that year was typewritten pages in a binder.) (Oh, and we had to do base8 too!)

I tell people here that Tennessee and Georgia used to fight a lot. That people from Georgia would throw dynamite at Tennessee, and people in Tennessee would light it and throw it back.
