I think the worst posssible match-up would be a toss-up between Syracuse or Michigan St. Syracuse because of their zone, and Michigan St. because of their physicality. I think Villanova or Kansas St. would be two of the more favorable match-ups for the VOLS because of similar styles of play and roster similarities. Thoughts?

Syracuse would be bad. Give me Michigan State, I don't they they are that good. I'd like to play Georgetown in the 2nd round. I think playing a game in short turnaround fashion would be harder for a team as thin as they are.

As long as we don't draw Missouri State (formerly Southwest Missouri State), we'll cruise.

We do not want to play Ohio State. Evan Turner will have a field day on us.

i like it. ohio state is too thin to make a deep run in the tournament. they only play one player off the bench with any consistency. even some close games they won, you could tell they were absolutely winded - they were up on West Va but lost because they got tired, lost their legs and couldn't shoot - and that was on long rest. Come tournament time, it will really hurt them. Evan Turner is great, and he will get his points, but I think we match up well everywhere else. I live in Columbus and watch this team a lot... they have played all of their tough games on good rest - no short turnarounds. That won't happen in the tournament.

If Ohio State ends up a 1 seed, then I'd love to be in their bracket. I'd gladly face them over Kansas and Syracuse. Kentucky wouldn't be all that bad, but they'd be out to get us since we beat them last.

Unless they get their revenge in Nashville, then wed be the "lost last" team.

yeah, i mean i would prefer not to play any of those teams, but if we had to play one of the top seeds, i would rather play OSU

As long as we don't play a team that makes their living on guard play, we'll be fine. Unfortunately, that describes half the teams in the tournament.

Any team that is fundementally sound on defense and can hit free throws. Game to game UT is Jekyll and Hyde.

Avoid any of the Beasts from the East. The rest are beatable, but as a previous poster mentioned, UT has a bit of Jekyll/Hyde personality.
