What time would UT play on Saturday if we beat Louisiana?

Is that time already set? TIA.
No it is not set yet. The networks will have their choice after they see who the matchups will be for the 2nd round. As someone pointed out in another thread, CBS took a double header with two 1 seeds last year and those were the noon/afternoon games, IIRC. Not sure what it will be this year but some suggested/expected it to be around the 4-6 pm time slot if it were to be Duke/TN.
You know they love Duke close to that prime time slot.

This is what I put in another thread...

So, the Saturday games get a CBS double header starting around noon with no other games going on. So CBS will select 1 of the 4 Saturday locations to feature early afternoon. Last year 2 of the 1 seeds happened to be playing in the same place, and that’s what CBS chose to feature. So we got Baylor/UNC and then Kansas/Creighton.

1 of the 4 Thursday/Saturday locations is Sacramento, so we know it won’t be them.

Birmingham happens to feature 2 of the 1 seeds this year. My guess is that Alabama and Houston will get that CBS doubleheader Saturday afternoon.

However, they could also have some big brands in Kansas/Arkansas and Texas/Penn St in Des Moines that they could go with. Or they could go with us vs Duke if that’s the matchup and then UVA vs San Diego St.
When the smoke clears I think we would get 1 of the evening slots, maybe the 5:15 slot like we got last year. But again, we won’t know until CBS knows who’s playing.

Really glad we got the 2:40 ET time a lot. Just get the game over and enjoy the rest of the games that evening

I would love to hear CBS's rationale. If you had told me UVA would get knocked out, I would have said there's no chance that Orlando gets the early afternoon CBS solo slot. Clearly, Duke carries a ton of weight, and that's really the reason. But they're essentially sacrificing the noon slot, because SDSU / Furman is just not a game that's going to get a lot of eyeballs on it. That's a game you'd typically find hidden on TNT with other games going on. I was almost positive that Alabama and Houston would get those slots. But they also passed up Kansas/Arkansas and Texas/Penn State. Duke is a huge brand, but Kansas is right there with them. I thought maybe they didn't want to put central time zone locations at the noon slot, but they had no problem putting Fort Worth, TX in that slot last year, so I don't think that's it.

As it is, now I'm unlikely to watch us live, but that might be better for my health, haha.
