Does Will Anderson not understand where anxiety comes from? TN caused that anxiety with it's offense, it is not like you can just go in the locker room and say "Hey ya'll we gonna get hyped and there will be no more anxiety for this opponent"

Once the anxiety is there you can't just wish it away.

Edit:" and yes OP Mincey is going to be a quality tackle for the Vols for several years.

"Naw, fam, you just suck."

HAHAHA!

I like Mincey's attitude--but better to keep such thoughts to yourself and your teammates.

Probably. Probably.

But NAH! I got Mincey's back on this one. He's just calling it how he sees it. And no repercussions. Maybe Anderson pays him back with a love tap some day in the future when they're both in the NFL, but I doubt his memory is that long.

Go Vols!

I remember reading their forums before we played them this year, and they were laughing about our chances because we had Mincey starting at Tackle. Fast forward a month, and the guy is not only a bad man with an attitude, but bleeds orange. I love this kid. He’s an alpha dawg

Tennessee OL Gerald Mincey trolls Alabama's Will Anderson Jr. after Vols upset Tide
Bad coaching is universal whether it's at UT or UF...just like we've realized that a bunch of 3-4 stars with coaching and motivation can out play a team stacked w/ 5 stars.

If you gonna talk smack, better be able to back it up. The o-line, who a lot of people were writing off during the off season, has been quietly putting these star defensive players in their place all season so far. I have no issues with him talking smack

Maybe Turob, but here’s what I think - Anderson doesn’t want any part of Mincey or UT again because if he gets shut down again like he did Saturday night, that’s twice in one season by the same team. Our OL is going to live in the Bama D line’s head for some time now - no pressure on our OL to perform - they just did and in a big way. “To be the man, you got to beat the man.” Mincey and his fellow lineman are The Man, now - not Anderson and his teammates. GBO.

I like the swagger, especially after that complete shutout against the vaunted Anderson. At the same time, kind of grit my teeth, because a little humility goes a long way too and it is a long season.

But from what I heard, Anderson did enough yapping with his pal #10 in the early game, so I’d say he earned the honor of getting called out.

It was the head nod afterwards that I loved!
According to the Bama defensive lineman he was jawing at, the two of them had been talking just before the Vols went into huddle (he claimed he didn't remember what about). Then Crawford turned, threw up, and just kept talking. All the Bama player could say in response was, "that's nasty." lol

Why? He whipped him. Now he's said... "I whipped you and am going to do it again if you get in my way". And in the back of Will Anderson's mind... he knows it is true. He was pretty much dominated by UT's OT's
