Not a DAM THING

They have played literally three of the worst teams in college football.

Georgia State is winless

1-5 Kentucky sucks...no explanation necessary

Arkansas has won three games, but the best team they beat was La-Lafayette. Nuff said!

On paper, winning consecutive games 52-0, 48-7, and 45-3 is impressive, but the teams they played SUCKED.

Well...we don't SUCK.

One of the overlooked factors in bammer's recent dominance, is that with the exception of the "Cam Newton miracle" in 2009, their two biggest rivals, UT and Auburn, have been TERRIBLE.

That ended today. Auburn beat Tamu on the road, we beat the gamecocks at home.

Bammer is going to get a bit more of a challenge next week. I hope and pray that they are really, really impressed with their last three wins.

Their schedule is a JOKE. Preseason it appeared they only had two real games...Tamu and LSU and they somehow managed to get a bye week before each game. The conference office is obviously favoring them.

I hope and and pray...that the Tennessee team of the second half against Uga and the one that won today...can go down there and wipe the smug look off their faces.

Even if we don't win, I am hoping and praying that we bring WAR to them for 4 quarters....they are not playing one of the weakest teams in the SEC this week! The SEC office be damned, UT is not a pushover anymore!

Bama is REALLY good.

You're right that Bama hasn't played good opponents this year.

But Bama that's mostly because Bama is just that much better than them.

Do they have reason to be a little afraid next week? Yes, we have shown now that we can take on a ranked team.

However, Bama is NOT USCjr, they are much MUCH better and we are playing in THEIR territory.

Could we win? possibly...but I wouldn't bet on it.

What I want is for us to give them one hell of a game for 60 mins win or lose, I just want to keep proving that Tennessee is moving forward.

My conclusion...Bama is still Bama. We can certainly compete though. A win is not out of the question, but we'll need to play PERFECT, and they'll need to make a few mistakes. Games aren't played on paper.

Exactly...this is the minimum of what I think will happen.

It's just that if you casually glance at the recent scores, it might be impressive...but it's not. Their schedule has been spoon fed to them by Slive, and I think the plan was that we would be patsies just like Arkansas and Kentucky.

That isn't going to be the case. They are gonna know it was a football game. We are going to be physical and bring it for four quarters....

Anything can happen. :salute:

I'm just hoping we give them a real game...not like the powder puff teams they have played for three straight weeks.

To win, we will need about three breaks...three more turnovers than we make.

It might just happen. :)

If Dooley can get a Matt Sims led team to compete with Bama for a half two years in a row, I have no doubt Butch can have our boys competing with Bama all 60 minutes and making it a game. All we have to do is get it to the 4th.

We have a team right now that believes anything is possible. That potentially counts for an untold amount of points.

Well, that's exactly what we did against UGA. That resulted in people pulling their hair and yapping about "moral victories".

All I know for sure is that on 10/27/13, I will still be a Vol fan either way. AND I know for sure that bammers run will come to an end and all will be right again, SOON. GBO!

Bama will be ready to play. That is for sure. I fully expect our Vols to be ready as well. I think what you will see is a classic SEC war.

Bama IS really good... But the Vols are Very Hungry. They got a taste of blood today and hopefully that will translate into another hard fought game...

Thanks!

Bama does suck, and they dont have the explosive offense that oregon does. But they grind and grind and keep grinding until its the end of the game and theyre winning by a big margin. I would love to see another big win next week, but i really want to see steady improvement and for the Vols to give it their all for the entire game. This is a brick by brick process, so itll take a while to get the job done meaning UT regularly winning these games.

From what I have seen Bama is just as good as they have been. It would take a absolute miracle to win this gm. I ain't saying it can't be done but we would have to play a perfect gm to win. GO VOLS!
