the tennessee basketball team has scored 70 points in only 4 out of the last 14 games. this, of course tells me that this team is really having trouble getting into it's offense. what will it take to get the vols back to where they are scoring 72-80 points a game ? remember when announcers would say, "if they score 80 on you, your beat " ? thanks

Too bad Chris Jones won't be the savior some want him to be next year.

Learning to shoot free throws would help. I blow my top every time we miss those critical points at the end of a game and the other team can just walk up and throw them in. ARGHHHHH!!!!!! I don't have a lot of hair to pull out, but it starts to come out when we try to finish a game. How many more games could we have won this year if we could just shoot simple frigging free throws?

I think he's saying that he will end up being a bust

I think its more like everyone thinking he'll be the next great hope....but in reality, he'll be a freshman like any other freshman, and it'll take time for his development into becoming an SEC pg.

we need a true point guard not a combo guard. we need to learn how to make free throws. We need a legit big man (probably not going to happen with current system). We need better player leadership. Need more coaching input i.e. not accepting the fact that your team is running down the court and jacking up 3s. We need better shooters in general. We need to not give schollies away to walk ons just because we have them to give and recruit better players.

I didn't get that at all. He is just saying that Jones isn't going to turn the offense around single-handedly

I kind of worded it badly. I meant that everyone thinks he will be the shooter and pg we lack but he thinks that it may take time for him to be a major impact

This team has shown it needs constant attention to get the job done. Just maybe being away from school where the coaches are with them 24/7 they will play better in the tournaments.
