IF Tennessee wins out the Cotton Bowl could take us, and unless Nebraska upsets Texas in the Big 12 Champ. Game, then Oklahoma would go to the Cotton.

There are some people around the program that think the Cotton could take Tennessee. I'm not 100% sure. I'm not sure how LSU fits into that picture. If they beat Ole Miss and Arkansas, and make an at-large BCS spot with two losses, I think Tennessee could go, but if they don't go BCS, I'm not sure the Cotton would pass a 2-loss LSU up. If they lose to Arkansas and end up with three losses, I think there is a chance the Cotton takes us over them, but it's no given.

Anyway....if we do go to the Cotton and play Oklahoma, with Peterson coming back for the bowl game........well, I'm an optimist, but let's just say I would be worried.

8-5....if we are lucky.......we have gotten worse every game after the Georgia game! No improvement whatsoever...especially on defense! Both lines suck bad!

OU, as I saw first hand last night, isn't anything special. If UT can't beat them on a neutral field, this Volunteer squad isn't nearly as good as I once thought.

I'd like to know when Ainge is coming back before I took a stab at the final record.

If Adrian comes back healthy, even the biggest optimist has to worry about what he would do to us, especially after last night.

Yep, facing Peterson or any smash mouth successful running team would be a nightmare. I would much rather face a passing team with weak line play, such as ourselves.

10-3. We will most likely end up facing Maryland in the Peach Bowl. Our players and coaching staff should have more than enough motivation to lay the whoopin to the Terps.

the players have lost their motivation, although I think they'll beat Vandy and KY. 9-4

If the Vols had displayed an ounce of gumption on Saturday then I'd say no way the Vols lose to Vandy based on athleticism and using last year as motivation. However, IMO UT is once again teetering on the edge of meltdown mode so I guess it could go either way. The KY game will probably be a toss up. The Kats should easily beat LaLafayette this week and I'm sure they will be psyched for the opportunity to break UT's streak agaisnt them. Since it's too tight to call I'm going to guess that the Vols split the last two games 1-1, which probably puts UT in the Liberty Bowl agasint Houston or Tulsa. I think UT could beat either Conf. USA opponent, however, if the Vols slip to the Music City Bowl they would probably face Clemson or VaTech and I am not so sure of victory.

Regular season prediction: 8-4
with Liberty Bowl: 9-4
with Music City Bowl: 8-5

10-3. Injuries finally got to us against Arkansas, and I never thought we had a chance to beat LSU. It's all good, people got the orange shades on after last season, but we're far from perfect. We're not extremely good, just pretty good when we've got all our guys. A #15-20 team.

It appears to me as of late anyways, that whenever our offense fails to produce, our defense seems to tire out easily and the intensity/motivation factor for them goes out the window.

Rumor has it that the fight at Goodfellas was an offense vs. defense thing! I think we lose 1 of next two plus the bowl game and no we don't want any part of Maryland!

I think we end up in the Peach Bowl (Chic-Fil-A Bowl). I think that the winner for the SECCG goes to the BCS, the loser to the Capital One Bowl. Auburn and LSU will go to the Outback and Cotton Bowl and we fall to the Peach Bowl once again.
