To start off tonight you want to see the CFP rankings reflect the AP and Coaches polls which both think the Vols are #6 in the nation.
If this happens then virtually nothing else will prevent them from hosting a game. Since both Texas and Georgia are ranked higher even if Georgia wins Texas will not affect our rank and both teams could make our rank better with a loss. Preferable would be a blowout win by Texas however unlikely that may be.
Second the SECCG we should be rooting hard for Georgia to lose. They are currently only 1 spot ahead in the rankings and I've never heard of any instance ever where a team lost and didn't fall at least 1 spot in the rankings. This would mean they flip flop with Tennessee and the Vols go to #5. This will be our insurance in case these B10 homers try to shove OSU above us in the rankings.
The outcome of the B10 will have virtually no impact on Tennessee so I wouldn't bother worrying about that one. Even if Oregon completely blows out PSU the blind B10 homers will try and refuse to acknowledge that PSU isn't actually good and a complete fraud.
As long as these B10 homer committee members acknowledge how terrible the Suckeys loss to Michigan was Tennessee will be in the catbird seat.
