A 12 place jump in the AP? Sugar Bowl predictions? Lot's of face time on ESPN and major sports news sites. So much for being the underdog

The coaches poll has them 17. Just as i figured. I always go by the AP poll myself #11 !!!!!!!

After watching Florida State and Miami, UT's defense was still one of the fastest that I saw all weekend, but the slightest slip from the Vols, and the backlash could be pretty ugly in the polls.

I am surprised the AP reacted like this to the win. It usually takes them a while to warm up to a team that put egg on their face last year.

Aint that the truth! Beat Air Force convincingly, then drop a squeaker to Florida and its out of the top 25 so fast it'll make you dizzy. Don't worry about the polls for now. Just keep winning big and then start worrying about them sometime in late October.

I'll grant that it'd drop the Vols down a good bit, but out of the top 25? Not a chance.

One game at a time, but, if we play with the intensity that we played with during the Cal game, it is going to be a fun season. We were crazy fired up! So were the fans. I hope the Volnation keeps it up just like the team. It really makes a difference for the players.

I was worried at first that all this attention that we are getting now might go to our players heads, but the coaches wont let that happen. We are as focused as I have seen us in a long time.

Well, I know one thing. After going 5-6 last year and STILL being ranked in the top 25 before the season even started tells me that UT can't play the "we don't get any respect" card anymore.

Who knows if their defenses were that good... Aside from some of Drew Weatherford's passing in the second half, that was about the worst offensive football I've ever seen. They couldn't rush for a first down if you spotted them nine yards.

Would you get real for once? Can't you recognize a jab at all knowing biased pollsters for what it is? If you don't, you probably could use something to smoke.
