I am not a Vandy fan but if I was I would be so ticked off. These commentators want/expect SC to win and make no effort to hide it. When I was young, I used to watch games and wonder how the announcers could stay so calm and detached. I'm not talking about John Ward or college network folks who are SUPPOSED to be biased. I mean big networks like ABC and CBS who shouldn't care who wins either way.

I know what the announcers say has no effect on the outcome of the game. It just makes me mad to hear comments like:

"Vanderbilt leads South Carolina BUT it's still early.
"Order is restored. South Carolina scores a touchdown."

Don't even get me started on the replay breakdowns.

Everyone hates Vandy?

I couldn't care less about Vandy being disrespected. Their fans absolutely deserve it

It isn't just Vandy, though. In every game I watched today, I could tell who the broadcasters were pulling for.

But like y'all said...who cares?

:)

I get what you are saying but I think more often than not it's most obvious when a good team is playing down to a bad team.

When have we ever had unbiased sportscasting?

Maybe I was just too young back then and didn't recognize it, but I remember games where the broadcasters were as dry as dust and didn't seem to care who won. Maybe things were just different in the 70s. :)

Watch a replay of the 1985 Sugar Bowl.

Watch a replay of the 1985 Sugar Bowl.

This is exactly what came to my mind. Miami scored on their first possession of the game, to make it 7-0 ( Testaverde to Irvin?)...and the first words out of Keith Jacksons' mouth were ".aaannd the rout is on..."

Tennessee practiced and hopefully got better.
What is happening in Columbia? Candy and Indiana...
Florida gave up 6 bills and "quit"
TxA&M is better with out Johnny Football. The Bama game should be fun to watch.
The SECE is a big giant mess.

A&M looks like the best team in the league at this point.
