We only get 7 or 8 home games every 365 days. I'm going to every HOME game and maybe one AWAY game because I love my Vols and enjoy the whole college gameday experience. It's been hard to enjoy lately, but I have decided to sit back and enjoy the whole process of getting back to the top of the college football world no matter how long it takes. Anyone with me?

I couldn't have that attitude with Barbara's lil feller at the helm but I'm gonna give Butch at least 3 games to get it turned around...

I'm with you brosephus. I can't promise that I won't get extremely pissed a few times this year under certain circumstances, but I'm determined to enjoy the season.

Unless we start ranked #1 and finish with a national championship ring and the #1 recruiting class. Then I'm done with this sinking ship. Now that I've acted like most band wagon fans. Here is the truth of it. I'm 43 and have always enjoyed our VOLS football and hoops teams. I even follow baseball and softball. Now I'm getting excited about soccer. If its orange I love it. GO VOLS!!!!!

I'm just a vol fan. I was with them during the good years and I will stick with them and continue to support the team any way I can no matter what. I'm with ya bro.

I hear ya loud & clear lockvol. We should be 2-0 starting the season. Then it's all up-hill from there. I'm sure I'll be up from the couch & going outside to rant some this year because of a play or two but we will have a good team winning some games barring injuries to key players. GBO & Go Vols!!!

Ben with ya for five or six years now.
Being a VFL never changes, just the look on my face after a game.

Always excited before the season and overly optimistic as usual. In the real world I'll be very pleased to see a team play well and not give up no matter the result. That will give me hope for the coming years. Seems our teams have been in such disarray for a long time really since Coach Cut left. I'm looking forward to seeing a renewed effort to bring our team out of the depths we had sank to. Bring on the Orange!!!

I'm the old, old guy here but I feel exactly as you...I was a little kid when Gen. Neyland finished his stint and I listened to every game (radio but no TV) and lived and died with the Vols. I suffered through mediocrity in the late 50's and early 60's until Dickey came and rebuilt the team, but never, ever did I decide that I'd find a team that was better and change my allegience..Then came the 90's and I enjoyed every second of that period. I was sitting in the end zone in Jan. '99 when Peerless and Tee dismantled the 'Noles and was probably one of very few there who remembered the '51 National title. So, I get a little irritated with fair-weather fans whose allegience shifts and whose "loyalty" is dependent upon where the team's ranking is at any moment....REAL Vol fans, indeed, do enjoy the total ride....

I love Tennessee.

I'm going to try to make it to a few games too.

Probably show up for all of the ones in November to help round the troops because we'll hopefully be looking at a bowl bid if we win 3 or 4 in Nov.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter THAT much whether they win or lose. But, I do demand that they play as if they have the same pride, passion and respect for the University of Tennessee as I have.

In the most recent years, I did not get that sense. It seems - at least a glance - that CBJ demands that of the team and coaches. If that turns out to be the case, I'll be fine . . . for while at least.

Zig Zeiglar is that you? JK. Nice perspective.

But, I'll confess. I have a hard time enjoying the fact that UA & UF have to take their foot off the gas in the 3rd and 4th Qs in order to not humiliate us further.

I am going to be drunk a lot this season regardless. Extra drunk against FL, OR, Bama, UGA, and USCjr though.
