dude....goggle high school letter man

back in the day, there were three sport letter men.

If you played enough minutes to be considered a contributor to the team, they would give you a cloth letter. For Tennessee, it would be a T. You sew it on your jacket...so the chicks knew you were a playa

A) I know what a letterman is (hence the letterman jacket). I was making a joke that obviously went over some heads.

B) I didn't play a snap of "ball" in high school. Didn't know that was a prerequisite to post on a message board or be a vols fan but thanks

When I was in high school originally you could get the letters in 4 sports, football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. By the time I was a senior though I saw people wearing letterman jackets for..........band...

My whole goal was to say why do you have to be a star here to be able to come back to the program. But cool if that makes you sleep better at night. Way to bust some b on a message board bro

Dude all he said was if you played ball at TN (and its understood left on good terms) you are more than welcome to come back. I didn't take his comments as you had to be a starter or have been in the NFL..

I also feel it was a polite under the table jab at his predecessors policy of pretty much shutting out any former VFL from being part of the program.

I really am glad he went ahead and mentioned that in the PC. Really grinded my gears when I heard about Dooley telling Fuad Reveiz that his knowledge of the kicker position was unwelcomed. Lord knows we needed all the help we could get.

Couldn't agree more

I know Dooley frowned upon former players attending practice, but I know I saw several on through sidelines during games this season.
