I loved Alpha Dog the first time I saw it. I tried to rewatch, but knowing what was coming, I couldn't get through it.
And now you couple in the fact that Anton Yelchin was the nicest kid in Hollywood and died a horrible death in real life, it makes it all the more painful to watch.

This is a recent one but the ending of Pig got to me a bit.
Cage's character admitting he didn't really need the pig to find truffles and just loves the pig. And at the end going back to his cabin, listening to his dead wife's song to him and sitting on his bed looking at his pig's empty bed beside him. That got to me, especially since I lost my long time dog last year and had several moments like that for a while, looking at my dog's empty bed.
