You will never be able to focus on your future if you don't stop looking over your shoulder at your past. What's happened has happened so MOVE ON! How do you see the rest of UT's season playing out? Here is the rest of TN's schedule:

vs South Carolina
vs Georgia
@ Vandy
vs Miss St
@ South Carolina
vs Kentucky

I say:
win vs South Carolina
win vs Georiga
Loss @ Vandy
Win vs Miss St
Toss up @ South Carolina
Loss vs Kentucky

USC is playing horrible b-ball right now, they lost to Auburn at home and scored 9 points against UGA in the first half yesterday. We will beat them twice and win 5 out of last 6, but I agree we will lose to Vandy who I think is the best SEC team. They actually play as a team for 40 minutes. We will also beat UK in Knoxville. We played our worst game of the year against them in Lexington and will be very motivated to whip them on our home court.

Definitely doable. I'm diehard UK so we'll overlook that last part haha but definitely doable.

i would hope that our worst games of the year came against CofC and Charlotte.

We have 15 wins and will need a total of 20 to be assured a position in the NCAA this year. We have the above mentioned schedule, plus the SEC tourney to get 5 wins. If we win the games that we should win, we will get in.

I see 2 wins against South Carolina and a win against Kentucky. Everything else is a toss up for me.

Nothing I've seen from this team suggests that we're a lock to beat UK.
I agree with you. I don't really feel we're a lock, but I do feel better about that game than @Vandy, MSU, and Georgia.

If I had to guess I'd say we finish:

South Carolina - W
Georgia - L
@ Vanderbilt - L
Mississippi State - W
@ South Carolina - W
Kentucky - W

I think we have a very good chance of dropping both the Georgia and Mississippi State games.

This team is so unpredictable. As someone on VN said a week ago, we may win both the preseason and post season NIT or make the big dance. I do believe we will win 18-19 games, but will that be enough. The fewest games CBP has won as a Vol is 21. He and the team will really have to work to reach that beechmark.

Just read on volsextra that Pearl may start Bone and McBee against S.Car., so we'll be playing 4 on 5 cause McBee can't even gaurd his on shadow.

To have any shot at making the tourney we need to win at least 4 of these last 6 games and then win 2 in the SEC tourney.

We may sneak in as a 8/9 seed, but we could just as easily end up in the NIT

It doesn't matter. They can't win the tough games at the end. The season will likely end in similar fashion to how the Mich. St and Florida and USC and Charlotte, etc games ended...with us missing FT's and not being able to hit a shot at the end.

It's basically the same script everytime with this group.

Look at bracketology instead of guessing. 4-2 will get us in for sure, 3-3 and 2 wins in the SEC tourney will get us in as well.

if we can get some momentum we can go into the tourney with some confidence and hopefully get to the sweet sixteen again.
