Georgia got hit particularly hard by the supply shortage. We spiked last week at $3.25-$3.50 and had some stations up over $4.00 a gallon. We had what amounted to a gasoline panic last week. Many station had long lines and were actually running out of fuel.
Thankfully, the Govenor called a special session and they waived all gasoline taxes for the month of September, so the price per gallon in most places dropped a good bit a couple of days ago. Now it's in the $2.80-$3.00 range.
