OK has lost 4 players to the transfer portal in the last 3 days. LBs Ryan Jones, Levi Draper, and Mark Jackson, plus DB Jordan Jackson. That makes 17 players who have left OK via the portal in the last calendar year. Now, the 4 that announced in the last 3 days are not considered elite but it's still not a good look for the Sooners.

To add insult to injury, it was announced today that assistant coach Jay Boulware is leaving OK for Texas to coach TEs and Special Teams

That would be Jordan Parker actually. Regardless, he is transferring, but has been fighting injuries the past couple of years and has seen limited playing time.

Ryan Jones just didn't pan out as much as they'd hoped.

Levi Draper can actually be a graduate transfer, but also hasn't really been as good as they'd hoped when he was recruited either.

Mark Jackson is going to hurt quite a bit. The kid was a monster and had a lot of upside. He got in trouble at some point and got benched for unspecified reasons. He's allegedly back in the good graces of the team, but has had to fight for his position back. But the players that stepped up are performing as well or better than he did.

Overall, you have a new Defensive Coordinator in Alex Grinch and I'm hearing rumblings some of the players aren't necessarily taking to his style very well. Overall, OU's defense is trending up (of course, it had nowhere to go but up) and we are recruiting some good players that will add depth. Some of the players recruited into the system under Mike Stoops just didn't take very well to Grinch. But the on field results are positive to say the least for those sticking around.

It's a setback, but not the end of the world.

Now that Boren and Stoops are gone there's no bootie hole lovin' allowed. Expect them all to transfer to the gloryhole in College Station

Okay, how about this.

"OU sucks, team morale is in the toilet, coaches suck, players hate it and everyone's going to transfer.

The Vols will face a motley assortment of walk ons. Our linebackers will likely be selected tuba players from the band. Our kicker will probably come straight from the OU women's soccer match. And our quarterback will be a randomly picked tailgater that appear to throw a decent spiral with a Nerf ball. You'll probably win 241-3 since she's probably a good kicker."

Stoops isn't gone...

Trust me, he still has a LOT of input in that program. Joe C wasn't going to let him go that easily.

Boulware played at Texas, so it’s not a shock that he would opt to return when given the opportunity.

Do you ever catch R.J. Young on YouTube O 1 O? The guy lives and breathes OK football. He is one prolific dude and I enjoy his broadcasts.

GBO!!!!!

All hose defenesive players realized that the Big 12 does not to play defense so they want to go somewhere they do play defense.

You have no way of knowing if she’s any good in live action.
