No USC smack talk and no posts from USC fans

We got a game coming up with the cockiest (pun intended) coach of the SEC -

screw what's happened so far this season, I want some fried chicken :biggrin2:

Beating USC at this point is like taking your mom to the prom. I hope we win but there is no excitement left for me in this season other than a victory over ND by 20+ points. Who wants to talk about next year? :mf_surrender:

What's kind a crazy is that we could end 9 - 3 (same as last year albeit a very different fashion).

We were over-rated. We had QB problems without knowing it but the signs were there last year - Ainge struggled at times as did RC. We scored 10 points (offensively) against Bama at home, 13 against ND (not a great defense), 16 against UGA and got our big numbers against the likes of SC, UK, Vandy and a clearly outmatched TAMU.

I'm hoping, for Spurrier's sake, USC beats y'all. But, they lost their best offensive threat for the season. Syvelle Newton, who scored 2 TDs and threw for a 3rd against Vanderbilt is out for the season and possibly next season as well. Best wishes to him, but the Gamecocks will need a few miracles to beat y'all in Neyland.

Well...last year we were 9-2 at end of the regular season and we won all of our division games. We could wind up with 3 losses and I agree we were overrated but this has been a disappointment. I am not naming names but I think the problems this season stem from the QB controversy. CPF or whoever should never let that happen again. I don't care if two guys are equally tallented, flip a coin and go with one of them. The other can sulk, transfer, quit, or whatever. This could have been a great season and instead it is a dose of humble pie for Vol fans.

My bad - we were 10-3 last year.

The thing with the QB probably wouldn't change much IMHO.

Ainge has problems. The only game we lost where we didn't play RC was UF. Maybe we win that with RC at the helm. Otherwise, Ainge hasn't shown anything and we know what RC can do.

RC takes care of the ball. He doesnt make that many bad decisions. We are capable of marching the field on any team on the country when he is in.

Getting it into the endzone? Thats another story. But you cant blame RC for everything that has gone wrong in the redzone.

IMO having two "starters" at QB has caused alot of problems. First, you have divided loyalties on the team. Second, the receivers have publicly commented that it adds an adjustment on thier end when you keep changing the passer. Third, if we started Ainge all year at least we could see if he can improve. I can probably come up with some more rational support for my theory but that'll have to do for now.

Venting is one thing. Quitting is another. ANd quitting is not in a VOLUNTEERS vocabulary. Never has been and never will be.
